⁸ Be sober, be watchful. Your adversary the Devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour; ⁹ whom resist, steadfast in the faith, knowing that the same sufferings are being accomplished in your brethren in the world. ¹⁰ But the God of all grace, who called you to his everlasting glory in Christ Jesus, will, after ye have suffered a while, himself make you perfect, establish, strengthen, settle you.
