Jehoshaphat Reigns In Judah

² He stationed troops in the fortified cities of Judah. He also put troops in the Judean countryside, and in the cities that Asa had captured in the territory of Ephraim. ³ The Lord was with Jehoshaphat because he followed the example of his father David’s earlier days and did not seek the Baals, ⁴ He served his father's God. He obeyed God's commandments, and did not act the way the kings of Israel did.

He did what was right in the eyes of Jehovah. He walked in the ways of David his father, without turning to the right hand or to the left.
