⁹ And behold, our fathers fell by the sword, and our sons and our daughters and our wives in captivity for this. ¹⁰ Now with my heart to cut out a covenant to Jehovah the God of Israel, and he will turn back from us the burning of his anger. ¹¹ My sons, now ye shall not go astray: for in you Jehovah chose to stand before him, to serve him, to be serving to him, and burning incense.
