²⁵ Thrice was I beaten with rods. I was once stoned. I suffered thrice shipwreck. Night and day have I been in the deep of the sea. ²⁶ In journeying often, in perils of waters, in perils of robbers; in jeopardies of mine own nation, in jeopardies among the heathen. I have been in perils in cities, in perils in wilderness, in perils in the sea, in perils among false brethren; ²⁷ in labour and travail, in watching often, in hunger, in thirst, in fastings often, in cold and in nakedness.
