Assyrians Advise Against Trust In Yahweh

²⁸ The official stood up and shouted in Hebrew: Listen to what the king of Assyria is telling you! ²⁹ Thus says the king, ‘Do not let Hezekiah deceive you, for he will not be able to deliver you from my hand; ³⁰ Do not let Hezekiah convince you to rely on Jehovah. Do not think that Jehovah will save you or that he will stop our Assyrian army from capturing you.
