¹⁸ And he said, Let him alone; let no one move his bones. And they let his bones alone, with the bones of the prophet who came out of Samaria. ¹⁹ And also all the houses of the high places in the cities of Samaria, which the kings of Israel had made to provoke Jehovah to anger, Josiah took away, and did to them according to all the acts which he had done in Bethel. ²⁰ And he killed all the priests of the high places which were there on the altars, and burned men's bones on them, and returned to Jerusalem.

And all the sons of Israel returned, each to his possession, into their own cities.

Psalm 78:58

For they provoked Him to anger with their high places, and moved Him to jealousy with their carved images.

Jeremiah 7:18-19

The sons gather wood, and the fathers kindle the fire, and the women knead dough, to make cakes to the queen of heaven and to pour out drink offerings to other gods, that they may provoke Me to anger.

Ezekiel 8:17-18

And He said to me, Have you seen, O son of man? Is it a light thing to the house of Judah that they do the hateful things which they do here? For they have filled the land with violence and have turned to provoke Me to anger. And lo, they put the branch to their nose.

Micah 6:16
