“Men of Israel, listen to these words: Jesus the Nazarene, a man attested to you by God with miracles and wonders and signs which God performed through Him in your midst, just as you yourselves know—

He is the stone which was

rejected by you, the builders, but which became the chief corner stone.

The God of our fathers raised up Jesus, whom you had put to death by hanging Him on a cross.

The word which He sent to the sons of Israel, preaching

peace through Jesus Christ (He is Lord of all)—

Why are the nations in an uproar
And the peoples devising a vain thing?

And Jesus came up and spoke to them, saying, “All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth.

The Father loves the Son and has given all things into His hand.

For not even the Father judges anyone, but He has given all judgment to the Son,

for if we live, we live for the Lord, or if we die, we die for the Lord; therefore whether we live or die, we are the Lord’s.

For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ, so that each one may be recompensed for his deeds in the body, according to what he has done, whether good or bad.

and to give relief to you who are afflicted and to us as well

when the Lord Jesus will be revealed from heaven with His mighty angels in flaming fire,
