God Punishes And Forgives

³⁶ Like as I entered into judgment with your fathers in the wilderness of the land of Egypt, so will I enter into judgment with you," says the Lord GOD. ³⁷ "I will cause you to pass under the rod, and I will bring you into the bond of the covenant; ³⁸ and I will purge out from among you the rebels, and those who disobey against me; I will bring them forth out of the land where they live, but they shall not enter into the land of Israel: and you shall know that I am the LORD."

Leviticus 27:32

All the tithe of the herds or the flocks, whatever passes under the rod, the tenth shall be holy to the LORD.

Leviticus 26:25

I will bring a sword upon you, that will execute the vengeance of the covenant; and you will be gathered together within your cities: and I will send the pestilence among you; and you will be delivered into the hand of the enemy.
