Abram's Journey

⁶ And Abram passed through the land to the place of Shechem, to the oak of Moreh. And the Canaanite was then in the land. ⁷ And LORD appeared to Abram, and said, I will give this land to thy seed. And there he built an altar to LORD, who appeared to him. ⁸ And he moved from there to the mountain on the east of Bethel, and pitched his tent, having Bethel on the west, and Ai on the east. And there he built an altar to LORD, and called upon the name of LORD.

Genesis 17:8
