Leviticus 7

Additional Laws For Guilt Offerings

1 'Now this is the law of the guilt offering; it is most holy.

1 Likewise this is the law of the trespass offering: it is most holy.

1 "This is the regulation concerning guilt offerings. They are most holy.

1 This is the law of the guilt or trespass offering; it is most holy or sacred:

2 'In the place where they slay the burnt offering they are to slay the guilt offering, and he shall sprinkle its blood around on the altar.

2 In the place where they kill the burnt offering shall they kill the trespass offering: and the blood thereof shall he sprinkle round about upon the altar.

2 The guilt offering is to be offered in the same place where the burnt offering is slaughtered. The priest is to sprinkle some of its blood on the altar and around it.

2 In the place where they kill the burnt offering shall they kill the guilt or trespass offering; the blood of it shall the priest dash against the altar round about.

3 'Then he shall offer from it all its fat: the fat tail and the fat that covers the entrails,

3 And he shall offer of it all the fat thereof; the rump, and the fat that covereth the inwards,

3 As to all its fat that is, the fat on the tail and the fat covering the internal organs the one presenting the sacrifice is to offer it.

3 And he shall offer all its fat, the fat tail and the fat that covers the entrails,

4 and the two kidneys with the fat that is on them, which is on the loins, and the lobe on the liver he shall remove with the kidneys.

4 And the two kidneys, and the fat that is on them, which is by the flanks, and the caul that is above the liver, with the kidneys, it shall he take away:

4 But the two kidneys, the fat over them by the loins, and the appendage on the liver are to be taken away, along with the kidneys.

4 And the two kidneys and the fat that is on them at the loins, and the lobe or appendage of the liver, which he shall take away with the kidneys.

5 'The priest shall offer them up in smoke on the altar as an offering by fire to the LORD; it is a guilt offering.

5 And the priest shall burn them upon the altar for an offering made by fire unto the LORD: it is a trespass offering.

5 Then the priest is to offer them on the altar, incinerating them with fire as a guilt offering to the LORD.

5 And the priest shall burn them on the altar for an offering made by fire to the Lord; it is a guilt or trespass offering.

6 'Every male among the priests may eat of it. It shall be eaten in a holy place; it is most holy.

6 Every male among the priests shall eat thereof: it shall be eaten in the holy place: it is most holy.

6 Any male among the priests may eat it, provided that it is eaten at a sacred place as a most holy thing.

6 Every male among the priests may eat of it; it shall be eaten in a sacred place; it is most holy.

7 'The guilt offering is like the sin offering, there is one law for them; the priest who makes atonement with it shall have it.

7 As the sin offering is, so is the trespass offering: there is one law for them: the priest that maketh atonement therewith shall have it.

7 The law for the sin offering is the same as the guilt offering. It belongs to the priest who made atonement with it.

7 As is the sin offering, so is the guilt or trespass offering; there is one law for them: the priest who makes atonement with it shall have it.

Portions For The Priests

8 'Also the priest who presents any man's burnt offering, that priest shall have for himself the skin of the burnt offering which he has presented.

8 And the priest that offereth any man's burnt offering, even the priest shall have to himself the skin of the burnt offering which he hath offered.

8 The hide from the burnt offering brought by the offeror is to belong to the priest.

8 And the priest who offers any man's burnt offering, that priest shall have for himself the hide of the burnt offering which he has offered.

9 'Likewise, every grain offering that is baked in the oven and everything prepared in a pan or on a griddle shall belong to the priest who presents it.

9 And all the meat offering that is baken in the oven, and all that is dressed in the fryingpan, and in the pan, shall be the priest's that offereth it.

9 And every cereal offering that is baked in the oven and all that is prepared in a pan or on a griddle shall belong to the priest who offered it.

10 'Every grain offering, mixed with oil or dry, shall belong to all the sons of Aaron, to all alike.

10 And every meat offering, mingled with oil, and dry, shall all the sons of Aaron have, one as much as another.

10 Furthermore, every grain offering that's mixed with olive oil or that's dry will be for Aaron's sons, each one like the other."

10 And every cereal offering, mixed with oil or dry, all the sons of Aaron may have, one as well as another.

Additional Laws For Fellowship Offerings

11 'Now this is the law of the sacrifice of peace offerings which shall be presented to the LORD.

11 And this is the law of the sacrifice of peace offerings, which he shall offer unto the LORD.

11 "This is the law concerning the sacrifice for peace offerings that are to be brought to the LORD:

11 And this is the law of the sacrifice of peace offerings which shall be offered to the Lord:

12 'If he offers it by way of thanksgiving, then along with the sacrifice of thanksgiving he shall offer unleavened cakes mixed with oil, and unleavened wafers spread with oil, and cakes of well stirred fine flour mixed with oil.

12 If he offer it for a thanksgiving, then he shall offer with the sacrifice of thanksgiving unleavened cakes mingled with oil, and unleavened wafers anointed with oil, and cakes mingled with oil, of fine flour, fried.

12 If someone brings it to demonstrate thanksgiving, then he is to present along with the thanksgiving offering unleavened cakes mixed with olive oil, unleavened wafers spread with olive oil, and cakes of mixed fine flour with olive oil.

12 If one offers it for a thanksgiving, then he shall offer with the thank offering unleavened cakes mixed with oil, and unleavened wafers spread with oil, and cakes of fine flour mixed with oil.

13 'With the sacrifice of his peace offerings for thanksgiving, he shall present his offering with cakes of leavened bread.

13 Besides the cakes, he shall offer for his offering leavened bread with the sacrifice of thanksgiving of his peace offerings.

13 Along with the cakes of unleavened bread, he is to bring his thanksgiving offering with his peace offerings.

13 With cakes of leavened bread he shall offer his sacrifice of thanksgiving with the sacrifice of his peace offerings.

14 'Of this he shall present one of every offering as a contribution to the LORD; it shall belong to the priest who sprinkles the blood of the peace offerings.

14 And of it he shall offer one out of the whole oblation for an heave offering unto the LORD, and it shall be the priest's that sprinkleth the blood of the peace offerings.

14 He is to present one from each grain offering, a separate offering to the LORD. It will belong to the priest who sprinkles the blood of the peace offering.

14 And of it he shall offer one cake from each offering as an offering to the Lord; it shall belong to the priest who dashes the blood of the peace offerings.

15 'Now as for the flesh of the sacrifice of his thanksgiving peace offerings, it shall be eaten on the day of his offering; he shall not leave any of it over until morning.

15 And the flesh of the sacrifice of his peace offerings for thanksgiving shall be eaten the same day that it is offered; he shall not leave any of it until the morning.

15 As to the meat contained in his peace offerings, it is to be eaten on the day it is offered. Nothing of it is to remain until morning."

15 The flesh of the sacrifice of thanksgiving presented as a peace offering shall be eaten on the day that it is offered; none of it shall be left until morning.

Instructions For Other Fellowship Offerings

16 'But if the sacrifice of his offering is a votive or a freewill offering, it shall be eaten on the day that he offers his sacrifice, and on the next day what is left of it may be eaten;

16 But if the sacrifice of his offering be a vow, or a voluntary offering, it shall be eaten the same day that he offereth his sacrifice: and on the morrow also the remainder of it shall be eaten:

16 "If his sacrifice accompanies a fulfilled vow or is a voluntary offering, it is to be eaten on the day the offeror brings the sacrifice. Anything left over is to be eaten the next day,

16 But if the sacrifice of the worshiper's offering is a vow or a freewill offering, it shall be eaten the same day that he offers his sacrifice, and on the morrow that which remains of it shall be eaten;

17 but what is left over from the flesh of the sacrifice on the third day shall be burned with fire.

17 But the remainder of the flesh of the sacrifice on the third day shall be burnt with fire.

17 but whatever remains uneaten from the meat of the sacrifice by the third day is to be incinerated.

17 But the remainder of the flesh of the sacrifice on the third day shall be [wholly] burned with fire.

18 'So if any of the flesh of the sacrifice of his peace offerings should ever be eaten on the third day, he who offers it will not be accepted, and it will not be reckoned to his benefit. It shall be an offensive thing, and the person who eats of it will bear his own iniquity.

18 And if any of the flesh of the sacrifice of his peace offerings be eaten at all on the third day, it shall not be accepted, neither shall it be imputed unto him that offereth it: it shall be an abomination, and the soul that eateth of it shall bear his iniquity.

18 If any of the meat of his sacrifice of peace offerings is eaten on the third day, it won't be accepted for the one who brought it. It is to be considered as refuse, and whoever eats it will bear the punishment of his iniquity."

18 If any of the flesh of the sacrifice of his peace offerings be eaten at all on the third day, then the one who brought it shall not be credited with it; it shall not be accepted. It shall be an abomination and an abhorred thing; the one who eats of it shall bear his iniquity and answer for it.

19 'Also the flesh that touches anything unclean shall not be eaten; it shall be burned with fire. As for other flesh, anyone who is clean may eat such flesh.

19 And the flesh that toucheth any unclean thing shall not be eaten; it shall be burnt with fire: and as for the flesh, all that be clean shall eat thereof.

19 "Meat that comes in contact with a ceremonially unclean thing is not to be eaten. Incinerate it instead. As for ceremonially clean meat, anyone who is clean may eat it.

19 The flesh that comes in contact with anything that is not clean shall not be eaten; it shall be burned with fire. As for the meat, everyone who is clean [ceremonially] may eat of it.

20 'But the person who eats the flesh of the sacrifice of peace offerings which belong to the LORD, in his uncleanness, that person shall be cut off from his people.

20 But the soul that eateth of the flesh of the sacrifice of peace offerings, that pertain unto the LORD, having his uncleanness upon him, even that soul shall be cut off from his people.

20 But the person who eats meat from the sacrifice that belongs to the LORD, while still affected by his uncleanness, is to be eliminated from contact with his people.

20 But the one who eats of the flesh of the sacrifice of peace offerings that belong to the Lord when he is [ceremonially] unclean, that person shall be cut off from his people [deprived of the privileges of association with them].

21 'When anyone touches anything unclean, whether human uncleanness, or an unclean animal, or any unclean detestable thing, and eats of the flesh of the sacrifice of peace offerings which belong to the LORD, that person shall be cut off from his people.'"

21 Moreover the soul that shall touch any unclean thing, as the uncleanness of man, or any unclean beast, or any abominable unclean thing, and eat of the flesh of the sacrifice of peace offerings, which pertain unto the LORD, even that soul shall be cut off from his people.

21 Any person who touches a ceremonially unclean thing whether the uncleanness pertains to human beings, animals, or to creeping things and then eats from the meat of peace offerings that belongs to the LORD is to be eliminated from contact with his people."

21 And if anyone touches any unclean thing -- "the uncleanness of man or an unclean beast or any unclean abomination -- "and then eats of the flesh of the sacrifice of the Lord's peace offerings, that person shall be cut off from his people.

34 For the wave breast and the heave shoulder have I taken of the children of Israel from off the sacrifices of their peace offerings, and have given them unto Aaron the priest and unto his sons by a statute for ever from among the children of Israel.

34 since I've taken the breast and the thigh as raised offerings from the sacrifices of peace offerings of the Israelis and have given them to Aaron the priest and his sons as their perpetual portion from the Israelis."
