Additional Laws For Guilt Offerings

1 This the law of the trespass: it is holy of holies.

1 ‘Now this is the law of the (A)guilt offering; it is most holy.

1 Likewise this is the law of the trespass offering: it is most holy.

1 “Now this is the law of the restitution offering;(A) it is especially holy.

1 "This is the regulation concerning guilt offerings. They are most holy.

2 In the place where they shall slaughter the burnt-offering they shall slaughter the trespass: and he shall sprinkle its blood upon the altar round about

2 In (B)the place where they slay the burnt offering they are to slay the guilt offering, and he shall sprinkle its blood around on the altar.

2 In the place where they kill the burnt offering shall they kill the trespass offering: and the blood thereof shall he sprinkle round about upon the altar.

2 The restitution offering must be slaughtered at the place where the burnt offering(B) is slaughtered, and the priest is to sprinkle its blood on all sides of the altar.

2 The guilt offering is to be offered in the same place where the burnt offering is slaughtered. The priest is to sprinkle some of its blood on the altar and around it.

3 And he shall bring from it all its fat; the fat tail, and the fat covering the bowels,

3 Then he shall offer from it all its fat: the (C)fat tail and the fat that covers the entrails,

3 And he shall offer of it all the fat thereof; the rump, and the fat that covereth the inwards,

3 The offerer must present all the fat from it: the fat tail,(C) the fat surrounding the entrails,(a)

3 As to all its fat that is, the fat on the tail and the fat covering the internal organs the one presenting the sacrifice is to offer it.

4 And the two kidneys, and the fat which is upon them, which is upon the loins, and the lobe upon the liver, with the kidneys, he shall take it away.

4 and the two kidneys with the fat that is on them, which is on the loins, and the lobe on the liver he shall remove (D)with the kidneys.

4 And the two kidneys, and the fat that is on them, which is by the flanks, and the caul that is above the liver, with the kidneys, it shall he take away:

4 and the two kidneys with the fat on them at the loins; he will also remove the fatty lobe of the liver(D) with the kidneys.

4 But the two kidneys, the fat over them by the loins, and the appendage on the liver are to be taken away, along with the kidneys.

5 And the priest burnt them upon the altar, a sacrifice to Jehovah: it is a trespass.

5 The priest shall offer them up in smoke on the altar as an offering by fire to the Lord; it is a guilt offering.

5 And the priest shall burn them upon the altar for an offering made by fire unto the LORD: it is a trespass offering.

5 The priest will burn them on the altar as a fire offering(E) to the Lord; it is a restitution offering.

5 Then the priest is to offer them on the altar, incinerating them with fire as a guilt offering to the LORD.

6 Every male among the priests shall eat it: in the holy place it shall be eaten: it is holy of holies.

6 (E)Every male among the priests may eat of it. It shall be eaten in a holy place; it is most holy.

6 Every male among the priests shall eat thereof: it shall be eaten in the holy place: it is most holy.

6 Any male among the priests may eat it.(F) It is to be eaten in a holy place;(G) it is especially holy.(H)

6 Any male among the priests may eat it, provided that it is eaten at a sacred place as a most holy thing.

7 As the sin, so the trespass: one law for them: the priest who shall expiate upon it, to him it shall be.

7 The guilt offering is like the (F)sin offering, there is one law for them; the (G)priest who makes atonement with it (a)shall have it.

7 As the sin offering is, so is the trespass offering: there is one law for them: the priest that maketh atonement therewith shall have it.

7 “The restitution offering is like the sin offering;(I) the law is the same for both. It belongs to the priest(J) who makes atonement(K) with it.

7 The law for the sin offering is the same as the guilt offering. It belongs to the priest who made atonement with it.

Portions For The Priests

8 And the priest bringing near a man's burnt-offering, the skin of the burnt-offering which was brought near for the priest, to him it shall be.

8 Also the priest who presents any man’s burnt offering, (b)that priest shall have for himself the skin of the burnt offering which he has presented.

8 And the priest that offereth any man's burnt offering, even the priest shall have to himself the skin of the burnt offering which he hath offered.

8 As for the priest who presents someone’s burnt offering, the hide of the burnt offering he has presented belongs to him; it is the priest’s.

8 The hide from the burnt offering brought by the offeror is to belong to the priest.

9 And every gift which shall be baked in an oven, and all being done in a pot and upon the frying-pan, to the priest bringing it, to him it shall be.

9 Likewise, every grain offering that is baked in the oven and everything prepared in a (c)pan or on a (H)griddle (d)shall belong to the priest who presents it.

9 And all the meat offering that is baken in the oven, and all that is dressed in the fryingpan, and in the pan, shall be the priest's that offereth it.

9 Any grain offering(L) that is baked in an oven or prepared in a pan or on a griddle belongs to the priest who presents it; it is his.

9 Every grain offering that's baked in the oven and everything that's prepared in a stew pan or in the frying pan belongs to the priest who offered it.

10 And every gift mixed with oil, and dry, to all the sons of Aaron it shall be, each as his brother.

10 Every grain offering, mixed with oil or dry, shall (e)belong to all the sons of Aaron, (f)to all alike.

10 And every meat offering, mingled with oil, and dry, shall all the sons of Aaron have, one as much as another.

10 But any grain offering, whether dry or mixed with oil, belongs equally(b) to all of Aaron’s sons.

10 Furthermore, every grain offering that's mixed with olive oil or that's dry will be for Aaron's sons, each one like the other."

Additional Laws For Fellowship Offerings

11 And this the law of the sacrifice of peace which he shall bring to Jehovah.

11 ‘Now this is the law of the (I)sacrifice of peace offerings which shall be presented to the Lord.

11 And this is the law of the sacrifice of peace offerings, which he shall offer unto the LORD.

11 “Now this is the law of the fellowship sacrifice(M) that someone may present to the Lord:

11 "This is the law concerning the sacrifice for peace offerings that are to be brought to the LORD:

12 If for praise he shall bring it, and he brought with the sacrifice of praise, unleavened cakes mixed with oil, and thin unleavened cakes anointed with oil, and fine flour dipped, cakes mixed in oil.

12 If he offers it by way of (J)thanksgiving, then along with the sacrifice of thanksgiving he shall offer (K)unleavened cakes mixed with oil, and unleavened wafers (g)spread with oil, and cakes of well stirred fine flour mixed with oil.

12 If he offer it for a thanksgiving, then he shall offer with the sacrifice of thanksgiving unleavened cakes mingled with oil, and unleavened wafers anointed with oil, and cakes mingled with oil, of fine flour, fried.

12 If he presents it for thanksgiving, in addition to the thanksgiving sacrifice,(c)(N) he is to present unleavened cakes(O) mixed with olive oil, unleavened wafers(P) coated with oil, and well-kneaded cakes of fine flour mixed with oil.

12 If someone brings it to demonstrate thanksgiving, then he is to present along with the thanksgiving offering unleavened cakes mixed with olive oil, unleavened wafers spread with olive oil, and cakes of mixed fine flour with olive oil.

13 With the cakes, leavened bread he shall bring, an offering upon the sacrifice of praise of his peace.

13 With the sacrifice of his peace offerings for thanksgiving, he shall present his offering with cakes of (L)leavened bread.

13 Besides the cakes, he shall offer for his offering leavened bread with the sacrifice of thanksgiving of his peace offerings.

13 He is to present as his offering cakes of leavened bread(d) with his thanksgiving sacrifice of fellowship.

13 Along with the cakes of unleavened bread, he is to bring his thanksgiving offering with his peace offerings.

14 And he brought from it one from all the offering an oblation to Jehovah, for the priest sprinkling the blood of peace, to him it shall be.

14 Of (h)this he shall present one of every offering as a (i)contribution to the Lord; (M)it shall (j)belong to the priest who sprinkles the blood of the peace offerings.

14 And of it he shall offer one out of the whole oblation for an heave offering unto the LORD, and it shall be the priest's that sprinkleth the blood of the peace offerings.

14 From the cakes he must present one portion of each offering as a contribution(Q) to the Lord. It will belong to the priest who sprinkles the blood of the fellowship offering; it is his.

14 He is to present one from each grain offering, a separate offering to the LORD. It will belong to the priest who sprinkles the blood of the peace offering.

15 And the flesh of the sacrifice of praise of his peace, in the day of his offering shall be eaten; he shall not leave from it till morning.

15 (N)Now as for the flesh of the sacrifice of his thanksgiving peace offerings, it shall be eaten on the day of his offering; he shall not leave any of it over until morning.

15 And the flesh of the sacrifice of his peace offerings for thanksgiving shall be eaten the same day that it is offered; he shall not leave any of it until the morning.

15 The meat of his thanksgiving sacrifice of fellowship must be eaten on the day he offers it;(R) he may not leave any of it until morning.(S)

15 As to the meat contained in his peace offerings, it is to be eaten on the day it is offered. Nothing of it is to remain until morning."

Instructions For Other Fellowship Offerings

16 And if a vow or a voluntary gift, the sacrifice of his offering in the day he brought it, his sacrifice it shall be eaten; and from the morrow that remaining from it shall be eaten.

16 But if the sacrifice of his offering is a (O)votive or a freewill offering, it shall be eaten on the day that he offers his sacrifice, and on the (k)next day what is left of it may be eaten;

16 But if the sacrifice of his offering be a vow, or a voluntary offering, it shall be eaten the same day that he offereth his sacrifice: and on the morrow also the remainder of it shall be eaten:

16 “If the sacrifice he offers is a vow(e)(T) or a freewill offering,(f)(U) it is to be eaten on the day he presents his sacrifice, and what is left over may be eaten on the next day.

16 "If his sacrifice accompanies a fulfilled vow or is a voluntary offering, it is to be eaten on the day the offeror brings the sacrifice. Anything left over is to be eaten the next day,

17 And the remainder from the flesh of the sacrifice in the third day shall be burnt in fire.

17 (P)but what is left over from the flesh of the sacrifice on the third day shall be burned with fire.

17 But the remainder of the flesh of the sacrifice on the third day shall be burnt with fire.

17 But what remains of the sacrificial meat by the third day must be burned up.(V)

17 but whatever remains uneaten from the meat of the sacrifice by the third day is to be incinerated.

18 And if eating, he shall eat from the flesh of the sacrifice of his peace in the third day, it shall not be accepted; he bringing it near, it shall not be imputed to him: it shall be an abomination, and the soul eating from it shall bear its iniquity.

18 So if any of the flesh of the sacrifice of his peace offerings should ever be eaten on the third day, he who offers it will not be accepted, and it will not be reckoned to his benefit. It shall be an (Q)offensive thing, and the person who eats of it will bear his own iniquity.

18 And if any of the flesh of the sacrifice of his peace offerings be eaten at all on the third day, it shall not be accepted, neither shall it be imputed unto him that offereth it: it shall be an abomination, and the soul that eateth of it shall bear his iniquity.

18 If any of the meat of his fellowship sacrifice is eaten on the third day, it will not be accepted.(W) It will not be credited to the one who presents it; it is repulsive.(X) The person who eats any of it will be responsible for his sin.(g)

18 If any of the meat of his sacrifice of peace offerings is eaten on the third day, it won't be accepted for the one who brought it. It is to be considered as refuse, and whoever eats it will bear the punishment of his iniquity."

19 And the flesh which shall touch upon any unclean thing shall not be eaten; it shall be burnt in fire: and of all clean flesh, the flesh shall be eaten.

19 ‘Also the flesh that touches anything unclean shall not be eaten; it shall be burned with fire. (l)As for other flesh, anyone who is clean may eat such flesh.

19 And the flesh that toucheth any unclean thing shall not be eaten; it shall be burnt with fire: and as for the flesh, all that be clean shall eat thereof.

19 “Meat that touches anything unclean must not be eaten; it is to be burned up. Everyone who is clean may eat any other meat.

19 "Meat that comes in contact with a ceremonially unclean thing is not to be eaten. Incinerate it instead. As for ceremonially clean meat, anyone who is clean may eat it.

20 And the soul which shall eat the flesh of the sacrifice of peace which to Jehovah, and his uncleanness upon him, that soul was cut off from its people.

20 (R)But the person who eats the flesh of the sacrifice of peace offerings which belong to the Lord, (m)in his uncleanness, that person (S)shall be cut off from his people.

20 But the soul that eateth of the flesh of the sacrifice of peace offerings, that pertain unto the LORD, having his uncleanness upon him, even that soul shall be cut off from his people.

20 But the one who eats meat from the Lord’s fellowship sacrifice while he is unclean,(h) that person must be cut off from his people.(Y)

20 But the person who eats meat from the sacrifice that belongs to the LORD, while still affected by his uncleanness, is to be eliminated from contact with his people.

21 And when a soul shall touch upon anything unclean, upon the uncleanness of man, or upon unclean cattle, or upon any abominable unclean thing, and eat from the flesh of the sacrifice of peace, which is to Jehovah, that soul was cut off from its people.

21 (T)When anyone touches anything unclean, whether human uncleanness, or an unclean animal, or any unclean (n)detestable thing, and eats of the flesh of the sacrifice of peace offerings which belong to the Lord, that person shall be cut off from his people.’”

21 Moreover the soul that shall touch any unclean thing, as the uncleanness of man, or any unclean beast, or any abominable unclean thing, and eat of the flesh of the sacrifice of peace offerings, which pertain unto the LORD, even that soul shall be cut off from his people.

21 If someone touches anything unclean, whether human uncleanness, an unclean animal, or any unclean, detestable(i)(Z) creature, and eats meat from the Lord’s fellowship sacrifice, that person must be cut off from his people.”

21 Any person who touches a ceremonially unclean thing whether the uncleanness pertains to human beings, animals, or to creeping things and then eats from the meat of peace offerings that belongs to the LORD is to be eliminated from contact with his people."

Instructions For The People

22 And Jehovah will speak to Moses, saying,

22 Then the Lord spoke to Moses, saying,

22 And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying,

22 The Lord spoke to Moses:

22 The LORD told Moses,

23 Speak to the sons of Israel, saying, Any fat of ox, and lamb, and goat, ye shall not eat

23 “Speak to the sons of Israel, saying, ‘You shall not eat (U)any fat from an ox, a sheep or a goat.

23 Speak unto the children of Israel, saying, Ye shall eat no manner of fat, of ox, or of sheep, or of goat.

23 “Tell the Israelites: You are not to eat any fat(AA) of an ox, a sheep, or a goat.

23 "Tell the Israelis, "You are not to eat the fat of an ox, a lamb, or a goat.

24 And the fat of a carcass, and the fat of the torn in pieces shall be worked for all work; and eating, ye shall not eat it.

24 Also the fat of an animal which dies and the fat of an animal (V)torn by beasts may be put to any other use, but you must certainly not eat it.

24 And the fat of the beast that dieth of itself, and the fat of that which is torn with beasts, may be used in any other use: but ye shall in no wise eat of it.

24 The fat of an animal that dies naturally or is mauled by wild beasts(j)(AB) may be used for any purpose, but you must not eat it.(AC)

24 The carcass of an animal that died of its own and an animal torn by wild beast may be used for any purpose except for eating.

25 For every one eating the fat from the cattle that will be brought from it, a sacrifice to Jehovah, and the soul eating was cut off from its people.

25 For whoever eats the fat of the animal from which (o)an offering by fire is offered to the Lord, even the person who eats shall be cut off from his people.

25 For whosoever eateth the fat of the beast, of which men offer an offering made by fire unto the LORD, even the soul that eateth it shall be cut off from his people.

25 If anyone eats animal fat from a fire offering presented to the Lord, the person who eats it must be cut off from his people.

25 Anyone who eats the fat of an animal that has been offered by fire to the LORD is to be eliminated from contact with his people.

26 And any blood ye shall not eat in any of your dwellings, of fowl, and of cattle.

26 (W)You are not to eat any blood, either of bird or animal, in any of your dwellings.

26 Moreover ye shall eat no manner of blood, whether it be of fowl or of beast, in any of your dwellings.

26 Wherever you live, you must not eat the blood(AD) of any bird or animal.

26 You are not to eat any form of blood in any of your dwellings, whether it's from birds or animals.

27 Every soul which shall eat any blood, and that soul was cut off from its people.

27 Any person who eats any blood, even that person shall be cut off from his people.’”

27 Whatsoever soul it be that eateth any manner of blood, even that soul shall be cut off from his people.

27 Whoever eats any blood, that person must be cut off from his people.”

27 Any person who eats any form of blood is to be eliminated from contact with his people.'"

Portions Of Fellowship Offerings For Priests

28 And Jehovah will speak to Moses, saying,

28 Then the Lord spoke to Moses, saying,

28 And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying,

28 The Lord spoke to Moses:

28 The LORD told Moses,

29 Speak to the sons of Israel, saying, He bringing near the sacrifice of his peace to Jehovah, shall brine his offering to Jehovah from the sacrifice of his peace.

29 “Speak to the sons of Israel, saying, ‘He who offers (X)the sacrifice of his peace offerings to the Lord shall bring his offering to the Lord from the sacrifice of his peace offerings.

29 Speak unto the children of Israel, saying, He that offereth the sacrifice of his peace offerings unto the LORD shall bring his oblation unto the LORD of the sacrifice of his peace offerings.

29 “Tell the Israelites: The one who presents a fellowship sacrifice to the Lord must bring an offering to the Lord from his sacrifice.

29 "Tell the Israelis that whoever brings a peace offering sacrifice to the LORD is to bring his offering to the LORD from the sacrifice of his peace offerings.

30 His hands shall bring the sacrifices of Jehovah: the fat upon the breast he shall bring it, the breast to lift it up a waving before Jehovah.

30 His own hands are to bring offerings by fire to the Lord. He shall bring the fat with the breast, that the (Y)breast may be (p)presented as a wave offering before the Lord.

30 His own hands shall bring the offerings of the LORD made by fire, the fat with the breast, it shall he bring, that the breast may be waved for a wave offering before the LORD.

30 His own hands will bring the fire offerings to the Lord. He will bring the fat together with the breast. The breast is to be waved as a presentation offering(AE) before the Lord.

30 He is to bring the offering made by fire with his own hands to the LORD. He is to bring the fat with the breast, since the breast is to be waved as a raised offering to the LORD.

31 And the priest burnt the fat upon the altar: and the breast was to Aaron and to his sons.

31 The priest shall offer up the fat in smoke on the altar, but (Z)the breast shall belong to Aaron and his sons.

31 And the priest shall burn the fat upon the altar: but the breast shall be Aaron's and his sons'.

31 The priest is to burn the fat on the altar, but the breast belongs to Aaron and his sons.

31 The priest will burn the fat on the altar, but the breast belongs to Aaron and his sons.

32 And the right leg ye shall give an oblation to the priest from the sacrifices of your peace.

32 You shall give (AA)the right thigh to the priest as a (q)contribution from the sacrifices of your peace offerings.

32 And the right shoulder shall ye give unto the priest for an heave offering of the sacrifices of your peace offerings.

32 You are to give the right thigh(AF) to the priest as a contribution from your fellowship sacrifices.

32 From the sacrifices of your peace offerings give the right thigh to the priest as a raised offering to the LORD.

33 And he bringing near the blood of the peace, and the fat, from the sons of Aaron, to him shall be the right leg for a portion.

33 The one among the sons of Aaron who offers the blood of the peace offerings and the fat, the right thigh shall be his as his portion.

33 He among the sons of Aaron, that offereth the blood of the peace offerings, and the fat, shall have the right shoulder for his part.

33 The son of Aaron who presents the blood of the fellowship offering and the fat will have the right thigh as a portion.

33 The descendant of Aaron's sons who brings the blood and the fat from the peace offering is to keep the right thigh for his own portion,

34 For the breast of the waving and the leg of the oblation, I took from the sons of Israel from the sacrifices of peace, and I will give them to Aaron the priest, and to his sons for a law forever, from the sons of Israel.

34 For I have taken (AB)the breast of the wave offering and the thigh of the (r)contribution from the sons of Israel from the sacrifices of their peace offerings, and have given them to Aaron the priest and to his sons as their due forever from the sons of Israel.

34 For the wave breast and the heave shoulder have I taken of the children of Israel from off the sacrifices of their peace offerings, and have given them unto Aaron the priest and unto his sons by a statute for ever from among the children of Israel.

34 I have taken from the Israelites the breast of the presentation offering and the thigh of the contribution from their fellowship sacrifices, and have assigned them to Aaron the priest and his sons as a permanent portion(k)(AG) from the Israelites.”

34 since I've taken the breast and the thigh as raised offerings from the sacrifices of peace offerings of the Israelis and have given them to Aaron the priest and his sons as their perpetual portion from the Israelis."

35 This the anointing of Aaron and of his sons from the sacrifices of Jehovah, in the day of bringing them to be priests to Jehovah;

35 ‘This is (s)that which is consecrated to Aaron and (t)that (AC)which is consecrated to his sons from the offerings by fire to the Lord, in that day when he presented them to serve as priests to the Lord.

35 This is the portion of the anointing of Aaron, and of the anointing of his sons, out of the offerings of the LORD made by fire, in the day when he presented them to minister unto the LORD in the priest's office;

35 This is the portion from the fire offerings to the Lord for Aaron and his sons(AH) since the day they were presented to serve the Lord as priests.

35 This is the consecrated portion for Aaron and his descendants from the offerings made by fire to the LORD, the day they were presented to be priests to the LORD.

36 Which Jehovah commanded to give to them in the day of his anointing them from the sons of Israel, a law forever to their generations.

36 (u)These the Lord had commanded to be given them from the sons of Israel in the day that He (AD)anointed them. It is their due forever throughout their generations.’”

36 Which the LORD commanded to be given them of the children of Israel, in the day that he anointed them, by a statute for ever throughout their generations.

36 The Lord commanded this to be given to them by the Israelites on the day He anointed them.(AI) It is a permanent portion(l) throughout their generations.

36 This is what the LORD had commanded to give them the day he anointed them from among the Israelis a perpetual portion for their generations.

Concluding Summary Concerning The Offerings

37 This the law of the burnt-offering, for the gift, and for the sin, and for the trespass, and for the fulness, and for the sacrifice of the peace;

37 This is the law of the burnt offering, the grain offering and the sin offering and the guilt offering and (AE)the ordination offering and the sacrifice of peace offerings,

37 This is the law of the burnt offering, of the meat offering, and of the sin offering, and of the trespass offering, and of the consecrations, and of the sacrifice of the peace offerings;

37 This is the law for the burnt offering, the grain offering, the sin offering, the restitution offering, the ordination offering,(AJ) and the fellowship sacrifice,

37 This is the regulation concerning burnt, grain, sin, guilt, and installation offerings, along with the sacrifice for peace offerings.

38 Which Jehovah commanded Moses in mount Sinai, in the day of his commanding the sons of Israel to bring near their offerings to Jehovah, in the desert of Sinai.

38 (AF)which the Lord commanded Moses at Mount Sinai in the day that He commanded the sons of Israel to (v)present their offerings to the Lord in the wilderness of Sinai.

38 Which the LORD commanded Moses in mount Sinai, in the day that he commanded the children of Israel to offer their oblations unto the LORD, in the wilderness of Sinai.

38 which the Lord commanded Moses on Mount Sinai(AK) on the day He(m) commanded the Israelites to present their offerings to the Lord in the Wilderness of Sinai.(AL)

38 This is what the LORD had commanded Moses on Mount Sinai on the day he commanded the Israelis to bring their offerings to the LORD in the Sinai wilderness.
