Jesus Again Foretells His Death

⁴³ And they were all amazed at the mighty power of God: but while they were all wondering at the things which Jesus did, He said to his disciples, ⁴⁴  Receive these words into your ears; for the Son of man is going to be delivered into the hands of men. ⁴⁵ But they understood not this saying, and it was hid from them, so that they perceived it not, and they were afraid to ask Him concerning it.

saying, the Son of man must suffer many things, and be rejected by the elders, and chief priests, and scribes, and be put to death, and be raised again the third day.
