The Sermon On The Mount: Salt And Light

¹³ You are the salt of the earth. But if salt becomes insipid, what can make it salt again? After that it is fit for nothing, fit only to be thrown outside and trodden by the feet of men. ¹⁴ You are the light of the world. A town on the top of a hill cannot be hidden. ¹⁵ Nor do men light a lamp to put it under a bowl; they put it on a stand and it shines for all in the house.
