Singers from the descendants of Asaph oversaw the work of the Temple of God. 23 They were subject to the commands of the king, who provided for the singers daily. 24 Pethahiah son of Meshezabel, a descendant of Zerah son of Judah, represented the king in all matters concerning the people.
