Psalm 124

1} ([Psalm of David]) If Jehovah was not on our side, let Israel now say: ^{Tools
2} If Jehovah was not on our side when men rose up against us: ^{Tools
3} Then they would have swallowed us up quickly, when their wrath was kindled against us. ^{Tools
4} Then the waters would have overwhelmed us, yes the stream would have gone over us. ^{Tools
5} Then the proud waters would flow over us.

6} Blessed is Jehovah, who has not given us as a prey to their teeth. ^{Tools
7} We escaped as a bird out of the trap of fowlers (bird catchers). The trap is broken, and we have escaped. ^{Tools
8} Our help is in the name of Jehovah, who made heaven and earth.
