Psalm 15

A Description Of The Godly

1 O LORD, who may abide in Your tent? Who may dwell on Your holy hill?

1 {A Psalm of David.} LORD, who shall abide in thy tabernacle? who shall dwell in thy holy hill?

1 Lord, who can dwell in Your tent? Who can live on Your holy mountain?

1 LORD, who may stay in your tent? Who may dwell on your holy mountain?

1 Lord, who shall dwell [temporarily] in Your tabernacle? Who shall dwell [permanently] on Your holy hill?

2 He who walks with integrity, and works righteousness, And speaks truth in his heart.

2 He that walketh uprightly, and worketh righteousness, and speaketh the truth in his heart.

2 The one who lives honestly, practices righteousness, and acknowledges the truth in his heart-

2 The one who lives with integrity, who does righteous deeds, and who speaks truth to himself.

2 He who walks and lives uprightly and blamelessly, who works rightness and justice and speaks and thinks the truth in his heart,

3 He does not slander with his tongue, Nor does evil to his neighbor, Nor takes up a reproach against his friend;

3 He that backbiteth not with his tongue, nor doeth evil to his neighbour, nor taketh up a reproach against his neighbour.

3 who does not slander with his tongue, who does not harm his friend or discredit his neighbor,

3 The one who does not slander with his tongue, who does no evil to his neighbor, and who does not destroy his friend's reputation.

3 He who does not slander with his tongue, nor does evil to his friend, nor takes up a reproach against his neighbor;

4 In whose eyes a reprobate is despised, But who honors those who fear the LORD; He swears to his own hurt and does not change;

4 In whose eyes a vile person is contemned; but he honoureth them that fear the LORD. He that sweareth to his own hurt, and changeth not.

4 who despises the one rejected by the Lord, but honors those who fear the Lord, who keeps his word whatever the cost,

4 The one who despises those who are utterly wicked, but who honors the one who fears the LORD, who keeps his word even when it hurts and does not change,

4 In whose eyes a vile person is despised, but he who honors those who fear the Lord (who revere and worship Him); who swears to his own hurt and does not change;

5 He does not put out his money at interest, Nor does he take a bribe against the innocent He who does these things will never be shaken.

5 He that putteth not out his money to usury, nor taketh reward against the innocent. He that doeth these things shall never be moved.

5 who does not lend his money at interest or take a bribe against the innocent- the one who does these things will never be moved.

5 who does not loan his money with interest, and who does not take a bribe against those who are innocent. The one who does these things will stand firm forever. A special Davidic Psalm.

5 [He who] does not put out his money for interest [to one of his own people] and who will not take a bribe against the innocent. He who does these things shall never be moved.
