Psalm 4:2

A Night Prayer

¹ ([Psalm of David]) Answer me when I call, O God of my righteousness! You have relieved me in my trouble. Have mercy on me and hear my prayer. ² O sons of men, how long will my honor become a reproach?
How long will you love what is worthless and aim at deception? Selah.
³ But know that Jehovah has chosen and distinguished the godly man for himself. Jehovah will hear when I call to him.

Psalm 3:3

You, O Jehovah, are a protective shield over me. You are my glory. You hold my head high.

You destroy those who speak falsehood. Jehovah abhors the man of bloodshed and deceit.
