בְּהַעֲלֹֽתְךָ֙

when you arrange

’eṯ-

､ הַנֵּרֹ֔ת

han·nê·rōṯ,

the lamps ､

אֶל־

’el-

מוּל֙

פְּנֵ֣י

the face

､ הַמְּנוֹרָ֔ה

ham·mə·nō·w·rāh,

of the lampstand ､

יָאִ֖ירוּ

yā·’î·rū

shall give light

שִׁבְעַ֥ת

. הַנֵּרֽוֹת׃

han·nê·rō·wṯ.

the lamps .

וַיַּ֤עַשׂ

And did

he arranged to face

the lamps ､

כַּֽאֲשֶׁ֛ר

מִתּ֖וֹךְ

בְּנֵ֣י

the sons

､ יִשְׂרָאֵ֑ל

yiś·rā·’êl;

of Israel ､

וְטִהַרְתָּ֖

wə·ṭi·har·tā

and cleanse [ceremonially]

. אֹתָֽם׃

’ō·ṯām.

וְכֹֽה־

wə·ḵōh-

תַעֲשֶׂ֤ה

ṯa·‘ă·śeh

לָהֶם֙

lā·hem

: לְטַֽהֲרָ֔ם

lə·ṭa·hă·rām,

to cleanse them :

הַזֵּ֥ה

haz·zêh

עֲלֵיהֶ֖ם

‘ă·lê·hem

מֵ֣י

mê

חַטָּ֑את

ḥaṭ·ṭāṯ;

of purification

וְהֶעֱבִ֤ירוּ

wə·he·‘ĕ·ḇî·rū

and

תַ֙עַר֙

ṯa·‘ar

עַל־

‘al-

כָּל־

kāl-

､ בְּשָׂרָ֔ם

bə·śā·rām,

וְכִבְּס֥וּ

wə·ḵib·bə·sū

and let them wash

､ בִגְדֵיהֶ֖ם

ḇiḡ·ḏê·hem

their clothes ､

. וְהִטֶּהָֽרוּ׃

wə·hiṭ·ṭe·hā·rū.

and [so] make themselves clean .

וְלָֽקְחוּ֙

wə·lā·qə·ḥū

And let them take

､ פַּ֣ר

a bull ､

בֶּן־

ben-

בָּקָ֔ר

bā·qār,

､ וּמִנְחָת֔וֹ

ū·min·ḥā·ṯōw,

and with its grain offering ､

סֹ֖לֶת

sō·leṯ

בְּלוּלָ֣ה

bə·lū·lāh

､ בַשָּׁ֑מֶן

ḇaš·šā·men;

with oil ､

וּפַר־

ū·p̄ar-

and bull

שֵׁנִ֥י

šê·nî

בֶן־

ḇen-

בָּקָ֖ר

bā·qār

of a bull

תִּקַּ֥ח

tiq·qaḥ

. לְחַטָּֽאת׃

lə·ḥaṭ·ṭāṯ.

as a sin offering .

וְהִקְרַבְתָּ֙

wə·hiq·raḇ·tā

And you shall bring

אֶת־

’eṯ-

-

הַלְוִיִּ֔ם

hal·wî·yim,

לִפְנֵ֖י

lip̄·nê

אֹ֣הֶל

’ō·hel

. מוֹעֵ֑ד

mō·w·‘êḏ;

וְהִ֨קְהַלְתָּ֔

wə·hiq·hal·tā,

And you shall gather together

אֶֽת־

’eṯ-

-

כָּל־

kāl-

עֲדַ֖ת

‘ă·ḏaṯ

the congregation

בְּנֵ֥י

bə·nê

of the sons

. יִשְׂרָאֵֽל׃

yiś·rā·’êl.

וְהִקְרַבְתָּ֥

wə·hiq·raḇ·tā

So you shall bring

אֶת־

’eṯ-

-

הַלְוִיִּ֖ם

hal·wî·yim

לִפְנֵ֣י

lip̄·nê

､ יְהוָ֑ה

Yah·weh;

וְסָמְכ֧וּ

wə·sā·mə·ḵū

בְנֵי־

ḇə·nê-

the sons

יִשְׂרָאֵ֛ל

יְדֵיהֶ֖ם

עַל־

וְהֵנִיף֩

And shall offer

אַהֲרֹ֨ן

תְּנוּפָה֙

tə·nū·p̄āh

[like] a wave offering

לִפְנֵ֣י

lip̄·nê

יְהוָ֔ה

Yah·weh,

מֵאֵ֖ת

mê·’êṯ

בְּנֵ֣י

bə·nê

the sons

､ יִשְׂרָאֵ֑ל

yiś·rā·’êl;

of Israel ､

וְהָי֕וּ

wə·hā·yū

לַעֲבֹ֖ד

la·‘ă·ḇōḏ

they may perform

אֶת־

’eṯ-

עֲבֹדַ֥ת

‘ă·ḇō·ḏaṯ

the work

. יְהוָֽה׃

Yah·weh.

וְהַלְוִיִּם֙

wə·hal·wî·yim

And the Levites

יִסְמְכ֣וּ

yis·mə·ḵū

אֶת־

’eṯ-

-

יְדֵיהֶ֔ם

yə·ḏê·hem,

עַ֖ל

‘al

on

רֹ֣אשׁ

rōš

– הַפָּרִ֑ים

hap·pā·rîm;

of the young bulls –

וַ֠עֲשֵׂה

wa·‘ă·śêh

and you shall offer

אֶת־

’eṯ-

-

הָאֶחָ֨ד

hā·’e·ḥāḏ

､ חַטָּ֜את

ḥaṭ·ṭāṯ

as a sin offering ､

וְאֶת־

wə·’eṯ-

and

הָאֶחָ֤ד

hā·’e·ḥāḏ

עֹלָה֙

‘ō·lāh

as a burnt offering

､ לַֽיהוָ֔ה

Yah·weh,

to Yahweh ､

לְכַפֵּ֖ר

lə·ḵap·pêr

to make atonement

עַל־

‘al-

. הַלְוִיִּֽם׃

hal·wî·yim.

וְהַֽעֲמַדְתָּ֙

wə·ha·‘ă·maḏ·tā

And you shall stand

אֶת־

’eṯ-

-

הַלְוִיִּ֔ם

hal·wî·yim,

לִפְנֵ֥י

lip̄·nê

､ אַהֲרֹ֖ן

’a·hă·rōn

וְלִפְנֵ֣י

wə·lip̄·nê

and

､ בָנָ֑יו

ḇā·nāw;

וְהֵנַפְתָּ֥

wə·hê·nap̄·tā

אֹתָ֛ם

’ō·ṯām

תְּנוּפָ֖ה

tə·nū·p̄āh

[like] a wave offering

. לַֽיהוָֽה׃

Yah·weh.

וְהִבְדַּלְתָּ֙

wə·hiḇ·dal·tā

Thus you shall separate

אֶת־

’eṯ-

-

הַלְוִיִּ֔ם

hal·wî·yim,

מִתּ֖וֹךְ

mit·tō·wḵ

בְּנֵ֣י

bə·nê

the sons

､ יִשְׂרָאֵ֑ל

yiś·rā·’êl;

of Israel ､

וְהָ֥יוּ

wə·hā·yū

and shall be

לִ֖י

lî

. הַלְוִיִּֽם׃

hal·wî·yim.

וְאַֽחֲרֵי־

wə·’a·ḥă·rê-

כֵן֙

ḵên

יָבֹ֣אוּ

yā·ḇō·’ū

shall go in

הַלְוִיִּ֔ם

hal·wî·yim,

לַעֲבֹ֖ד

la·‘ă·ḇōḏ

אֶת־

’eṯ-

אֹ֣הֶל

’ō·hel

､ מוֹעֵ֑ד

mō·w·‘êḏ;

of meeting ､

וְטִֽהַרְתָּ֣

wə·ṭi·har·tā

so you shall cleanse

אֹתָ֔ם

’ō·ṯām,

וְהֵנַפְתָּ֥

wə·hê·nap̄·tā

אֹתָ֖ם

’ō·ṯām

. תְּנוּפָֽה׃

הִקְדַּ֥שְׁתִּי

And I have taken

And I have given

as a gift

לְאַהֲרֹ֣ן

וּלְבָנָ֗יו

מִתּוֹךְ֮

the sons

､ יִשְׂרָאֵל֒

לַעֲבֹ֞ד

וַיַּ֨עַשׂ

､ וְאַהֲרֹ֛ן

and Aaron ､

וְכָל־

wə·ḵāl

and all

עֲדַ֥ת

‘ă·ḏaṯ

the congregation

בְּנֵי־

bə·nê-

of the sons

יִשְׂרָאֵ֖ל

yiś·rā·’êl

. לַלְוִיִּ֑ם

lal·wî·yim;

to the Levites .

כְּ֠כֹל

kə·ḵōl

According to all

אֲשֶׁר־

’ă·šer-

צִוָּ֨ה

ṣiw·wāh

יְהוָ֤ה

Yah·weh

מֹשֶׁה֙

､ לַלְוִיִּ֔ם

lal·wî·yim,

concerning the Levites ､

כֵּן־

the sons

. יִשְׂרָאֵֽל׃

וַיִּֽתְחַטְּא֣וּ

way·yiṯ·ḥaṭ·ṭə·’ū

And purified themselves

､ הַלְוִיִּ֗ם

hal·wî·yim,

the Levites ､

וַֽיְכַבְּסוּ֙

way·ḵab·bə·sū

､ בִּגְדֵיהֶ֔ם

biḡ·ḏê·hem,

their clothes ､

וַיָּ֨נֶף

way·yā·nep̄

אַהֲרֹ֥ן

’a·hă·rōn

אֹתָ֛ם

’ō·ṯām

תְּנוּפָ֖ה

tə·nū·p̄āh

[like] a wave offering

לִפְנֵ֣י

. יְהוָ֑ה

וְעֶשְׂרִ֤ים

wə·‘eś·rîm

שָׁנָה֙

šā·nāh

､ וָמַ֔עְלָה

wā·ma‘·lāh,

and above ､

יָבוֹא֙

yā·ḇō·w

לִצְבֹ֣א

liṣ·ḇō

צָבָ֔א

ṣā·ḇā,

בַּעֲבֹדַ֖ת

ba·‘ă·ḇō·ḏaṯ

in the work

אֹ֥הֶל

’ō·hel

of the tabernacle

. מוֹעֵֽד׃

mō·w·‘êḏ.

וּמִבֶּן֙

ū·mib·ben

And at old

חֲמִשִּׁ֣ים

ḥă·miš·šîm

､ שָׁנָ֔ה

šā·nāh,

יָשׁ֖וּב

yā·šūḇ

they must cease performing

מִצְּבָ֣א

miṣ·ṣə·ḇā

from which goes forth

､ הָעֲבֹדָ֑ה

hā·‘ă·ḇō·ḏāh;

the work ､

וְלֹ֥א

wə·lō

and no

יַעֲבֹ֖ד

ya·‘ă·ḇōḏ

. עֽוֹד׃

‘ō·wḏ.

וְשֵׁרֵ֨ת

wə·šê·rêṯ

And they may minister

אֶת־

’eṯ-

with

אֶחָ֜יו

’e·ḥāw

בְּאֹ֤הֶל

bə·’ō·hel

in the tabernacle

､ מוֹעֵד֙

mō·w·‘êḏ

of meeting ､

לִשְׁמֹ֣ר

liš·mōr

מִשְׁמֶ֔רֶת

miš·me·reṯ,

וַעֲבֹדָ֖ה

wa·‘ă·ḇō·ḏāh

but work

. לֹ֣א

יַעֲבֹ֑ד

ya·‘ă·ḇōḏ;

They [themselves] shall do

כָּ֛כָה

kā·ḵāh

תַּעֲשֶׂ֥ה

לַלְוִיִּ֖ם

to the Levites

. בְּמִשְׁמְרֹתָֽם׃

bə·miš·mə·rō·ṯām.
