'As It is Written' in the Bible

As it is written in the prophets, Behold, I send my messenger before thy face, who will prepare thy way before thee.

And having answered, he said to them, Well did Isaiah prophesy about you hypocrites, as it is written, This people honors me with their lips, but their heart is far distant from me.

But I say to you, that Elijah has also come, and they did to him as much as they wanted, just as it is written for him.

The Son of man indeed goes as it is written about him, but woe to that man through whom the Son of man is betrayed! It was good for him if that man was not born.
