'Do Good' in the Bible

For I know that nothing good lives in me, that is, in my flesh, for the desire to do good is present in my heart, but the ability to carry it out [consistently] is not.

For I do not do good that I want, instead, wrong that I do not want, this I do.

I find then a law, that, when I would do good, evil is present with me.

For rulers are not a terror to good conduct, but to bad. Do you want to be unafraid of the authority? Do what is good, and you will have its approval.
