'Let Us' in the Bible
And do not let us be subjected to temptation, but save us from the evil one.
But when the tenants saw the son, they said among themselves, 'This is his heir, come on, let us kill him, and get all that is coming to him!'
Get up and let us be going. Look! Here comes my betrayer!"
But the others said, "Wait, let us see if Elijah does come to deliver Him."
And He said to them, "Let us go somewhere else, to the neighboring towns, to preach in them, too, for that is why I came out here."
That same day when it was evening, He said to them, "Let us go over to the other Side."
Then Peter interrupted and said to Jesus, "Teacher, it is good for us to be here. So let us put up three tents, one for you and one for Moses and one for Elijah."
But those tenants said among themselves, 'This is his heir; come on, let us kill him, and all that is coming to him will be ours.'
Get up, let us be going. Look! here comes my betrayer!"
So one man ran and soaked a sponge in vinegar and put it on a stick and held it up to Him to drink, saying, "Wait, let us see whether Elijah does come to take Him down!"
Then when the angel left them and returned to heaven, the shepherds said to one another, "Let us now go over to Bethlehem and see this thing that has taken place, which the Lord has told us."
One day He got into a boat with His disciples, and He said to them, "Let us cross to the other side of the lake." So they set sail.
And just as they were starting to leave Him, Peter said to Jesus, "Master, it is good for us to be here. Let us put up three tents, one for you, one for Moses, and one for Elijah" -- although he did not know what he was saying.
and forgive us our sins, for we ourselves forgive everyone who does us wrong, and do not let us be subjected to temptation.'"
take the fattening calf and kill it, and let us feast and celebrate,
But when the tenants saw him, they argued among themselves, 'This is the heir; let us kill him, so that what he inherits may be ours.'
But they all together began to shout, "Away with this fellow, but let us have Barabbas released!
After that He said to His disciples, "Let us go back to Judea."
and I am glad for your sake that I was not there so that you may come to have real faith in me. But let us go to him."
Then Thomas the Twin said to his fellow-disciples, "Let us go too, and die with Him."
Philip said to Him, "Lord, let us see the Father, and that will satisfy us."
Jesus said to him, "Have I been with you disciples so long, and yet you, Philip, have not recognized me? Whoever has seen me has seen the Father. How can you say, 'Let us see the Father'?
but he is coming that the world may know that I love the Father and am doing what the Father has ordered me to do. Get up and let us go away."
So they said to one another, "Let us not tear it, but let us draw for it to see who gets it." This was to fulfill the Scripture which says, "They divided my clothes among them, and for my clothing they cast lots." Now this was what the soldiers did.
But to keep it from spreading farther among the people, let us severely threaten them not to say anything at all to anyone else about this person."
Some days after this Paul said to Barnabas, "Let us go back and visit the brothers in every town where we preached the Lord's message, to see how they are."
Why should we not say, as people abusively say of us, and charge us with actually saying, "Let us do evil that good may come from it"? Their condemnation is just.
Since we have been given right standing with God through faith, then let us continue enjoying peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ,
by whom we have an introduction through faith into this state of God's favor, in which we safely stand; and let us continue exulting in the hope of enjoying the glorious presence of God.
And not only that, but this too: let us continue exulting in our sufferings, for we know that suffering produces endurance,
The night has almost passed; the day is at hand. So let us put aside the deeds of darkness, and put on the weapons of light.
Let us live becomingly for people who are in the light of day, not in carousing and drunkenness, nor in sexual immorality and licentiousness, nor in quarreling and jealousy.
Then let us stop criticizing one another; instead, do this, determine to stop putting stumbling blocks or hindrances in your brother's way.
So let us keep on pursuing the things that make for peace and our mutual upbuilding.
So let us keep our feast, not with old yeast nor with the yeast of vice and wickedness, but with the bread of purity and truth without the yeast.
Let us stop practicing immorality, as some of them did, and on one day twenty-three thousand fell dead.
Let us stop trying the Lord's patience, as some of them did, and for it were destroyed by the snakes.
If from merely human motives I have fought wild beasts here in Ephesus, what profit will it be to me? If the dead are never raised at all, "Let us eat and drink, for tomorrow we shall be dead."
and as we have reflected the likeness of him who was made of dust, let us also reflect the likeness of the Man from heaven.
So, since we have such promises as these, dearly beloved, let us cleanse ourselves from everything that defiles our bodies and spirits, and in reverence to God carry on our consecration to completeness.
If we live by the Spirit, let us also walk where the Spirit leads.
Let us stop being ambitious for honors, so challenging one another, envying one another.
Let us stop getting tired of doing good, for at the proper time we shall reap if we do not give up.
So then whenever we have an opportunity, let us practice doing good to everybody, but especially to the members of the family of faith.
So let us all who are mature have this attitude. If you have a different attitude, God will make it clear to you.
So let us stop sleeping as others do, but let us stay awake and keep sober.
but let us who belong to the day keep sober, clothed with faith and love for a coat of mail and with the hope of salvation for a helmet.
So let us fear that when the promise for us to be admitted to His rest is still remaining valid some one of you may be found to have missed it.
So let us do our best to be admitted to that rest, so that not one of us may fail through the same sort of disobedience.
Since then we have in Jesus, the Son of God, a great High Priest who has gone right up to heaven itself, let us continue to keep a firm hold on our profession of faith in Him.
So let us continue coming with courage to the throne of God's unmerited favor to obtain His mercy and to find His spiritual strength to help us when we need it.
So then let us once for all quit the elementary teaching about Christ and continue progressing toward maturity; let us stop relaying a foundation of repentance from works that mean only death, and of faith in God,
let us continue to draw near to God with sincere hearts and perfect faith; with our hearts cleansed from the sense of sin, and our bodies bathed in clean water;
let us, without ever wavering, keep on holding to the hope that we profess, for He is to be trusted who has made the promise,
Let us continue so to consider one another as to stimulate one another to love and good deeds.
Let us stop neglecting our meeting together, as some do, but let us continue to encourage one another, and all the more because you see that the great day is drawing near.
Therefore, as we have so vast a crowd of spectators in the grandstands, let us throw off every impediment and the sin that easily entangles our feet, and run with endurance the race for which we are entered,
Let us, therefore, be thankful for receiving a kingdom that cannot be shaken, and in this way continue to serve God acceptably in reverence and fear;
Let us, therefore, go to Him outside the camp, enduring the reproach that He endured;
So then, through Christ, let us always offer God the sacrifice of praise; that is, the speech of lips that glorify the name of God.
Dear children, let us stop loving with words or lips alone, but let us love with actions and in truth.
Dearly beloved, let us practice loving one another, because love originates with God, and everyone who practices loving is a child of God and knows God by experience.
Let us be glad and shout for joy and give Him glory, because the marriage of the Lamb has come, and His bride has made herself ready.
