'Living Creatures' in the Bible

"Tell the Israelis that these are the living creatures that you may eat among the animals of the earth:

And all that have not fins and scales in the seas, and in the rivers, of all that move in the waters, and of all the living creatures that are in the waters, they are an abomination unto you,

" 'This is the regulation of the animals and the birds and all living creatures that move along in the water and {concerning} all the creatures that swarm on the land,

to distinguish between the unclean and the clean, between the living creatures that may be eaten and the living creatures that must not be eaten.'"
