'Old Man' in the Bible
Abraham fell facedown. Then he laughed and said to himself, “Can a child be born to a hundred-year-old man? Can Sarah, a ninety-year-old woman, give birth?”
And Abraham will say to the old man of his house ruling over all which is to him, Put now thy hand under my thigh.
Then Abraham gave up the ghost, and died in a good old age, an old man, and full of years; and was gathered to his people.
Isaac’s spirit departed and he died and was gathered to his people [who had preceded him in death], an old man full of days (satisfied, fulfilled); his sons Esau and Jacob buried him [in the cave of Machpelah with his parents Abraham and Sarah].
Now the love which Israel had for Joseph was greater than his love for all his other children, because he got him when he was an old man: and he had a long coat made for him.
The three branches are three days: for within three days shall Pharaoh lift up thine head, and restore thee unto thine office again, and thou shalt deliver Pharaoh's cup into his hand, after the old manner, even as thou didst when thou wast his butler.
