'Sons of Levi' in the Bible
Number the sons of Levi by their fathers' houses, by their families. Thou shall number them, every male from a month old and upward.
And these were the sons of Levi by their names: Gershon, and Kohath, and Merari.
Take the sum of the sons of Kohath from among the sons of Levi, by their families, by their fathers' houses,
and put fire in them, and put incense upon them before LORD tomorrow. And it shall be that the man whom LORD chooses, he [is] holy. Ye take too much upon you, ye sons of Levi.
and that he has brought thee near, and all thy brothers the sons of Levi with thee? And ye seek the priesthood also?
And to the sons of Levi, behold, I have given all the tithe in Israel for an inheritance, in return for their service which they serve, even the service of the tent of meeting.
