Luke 7:11-17 - A Widow's Son Raised

¹¹ And on the next day he went to a city called Nain, and a considerable number of his disciples and a great multitude went with him. ¹² And as he approached the gate of the city, behold, a dead man was carried out, an only son of his mother, and she was a widow. And a great multitude from the city was with her. ¹³ And seeing her, the Lord had compassion on her, and said to her, Weep not. ¹⁴ And approaching he touched the bier, and those who bore it stopped. And he said, Young man, I tell you, arise!

¹⁵ And the dead sat up, and began to speak; and he gave him to his mother. ¹⁶ And fear seized all; and they glorified God, saying, A great prophet is raised up among us; and, God has visited his people. ¹⁷ And this report of him went out into all Judea, and into all the region around.
