Matthew 10:26-33 - Fear God Rather Than People

²⁶ If they have called the master of the house Beelzebub, how much more them of his houshold? Therefore fear them not; for there is nothing covered, that shall not be discovered; nor hid, that shall not be known. ²⁷ What I tell you in darkness, speak ye in the light; and what ye hear in the ear, proclaim on the house-tops. ²⁸ And be not afraid of them who kill the body, but are not able to kill the soul; but rather be afraid of him who is able to destroy both soul and body in hell. ²⁹ Are not two sparrows sold for a farthing? And one of them shall not fall to the ground without your Father. ³⁰ Yea, even the hairs of your head are all numbered. Fear ye not therefore: ye are of more value than many sparrows. ³¹ Whosoever therefore shall confess me before men,

³² him will I also confess before my Father who is in heaven. ³³ But whosoever shall deny me before men, him will I also deny before my Father who is in heaven.

⁴ But I say to you, my friends; Fear not them that kill the body, and after that can do no more: ⁵ But I will shew you whom ye shall fear: fear him, who after he hath killed, hath power to cast into hell: yea, I say to you, fear him. ⁶ Are not five sparrows sold for two farthings? Yet not one of them is forgotten before God. ⁷ But even the hairs of your head are all numbered.
