John 7:6-24 - Jesus At The Feast Of Tabernacles

6 Jesus, therefore, saith to them, "My time is not yet present; but your time is always ready. 7 The world cannot hate you; but Me it hates, because I testify concerning it, that its works are evil. 8 Go ye up to the feast. I am not yet going up to this feast, because My time has not yet been fulfilled." 9 And, having said these things to them, He abode in Galilee.

10 But, when His brethren went up to the feast, then He also went up, not openly, but as it were in secret. 11 The Jews, therefore, were seeking Him at the feast, and said, "Where is He?" 12 And there was much murmuring about Him among the multitudes: some were saying, "He is a good Man;" others were saying, "Nay, but He is misleading the multitude." 13 No one, however, was speaking openly concerning Him, for fear of the Jews.

14 But, it being now the middle of the feast, Jesus went up into the temple, and was teaching. 15 The Jews, therefore, were marveling, saying, "How knoweth This Man letters, having never learned!"

16 Jesus, therefore, answered them, and said, "My teaching is not Mine, but His Who sent Me. 17 If any one wills to do His will, he shall know of the teaching, whether it is of God, or whether I speak from Myself. 18 He that speaks from himself seeks his own glory; but He Who seeketh the glory of Him Who sent Him the Same is true, and there is no unrighteousness in Him. 19 Did not Moses give you the law? and not one of you does the law. Why are ye seeking to kill Me?"

20 The multitude answered, "Thou hast a demon: who is seeking to kill you!"

21 Jesus answered, and said to them, "I did one work, and ye all marvel because of this. 22 Moses has given you circumcision (not that it is of Moses, but of the fathers); and on the sabbath ye circumcise a man. 23 If a man receives circumcision on a sabbath, that the law of Moses be not broken, are ye angry with Me, because I made a whole man well on the sabbath? 24 Judge not according to appearance, but judge righteous judgment."
