Luke 9:18-20 - Peter's Confession

¹⁸ And when he was praying alone, the disciples came to him, and he asked them, saying, Who do the multitudes say that I am?

¹⁹ And they answered and said, John the Baptist; and some Elijah, and others that one of the old prophets has arisen.

²⁰ And he said to them, Who do you say that I am? And Peter answered and said, The Christ of God.

⁶⁶ From this time many of his disciples went away from following him, and walked no more with him. ⁶⁷ Then Jesus said to the twelve Will you also go away?

⁶⁸ Simon Peter answered him, Lord, to whom shall we go? you have words of eternal life, ⁶⁹ and we have believed and know that you are the Holy [Son] of God.

⁷⁰ He answered them, Have I not chosen you twelve? and of you one is a devil. ⁷¹ But he spoke of Judas the son of Simon Iscariot, for he was about to betray him, being one of the twelve.
