Matthew 3:13-17 - The Baptism Of Jesus

Matthew 3:13-17

13 Then came Jesus from Galilee to the Jordan to John, to be baptized by him. 14 But, he refused him, saying, I have need to be baptized by you, and do you come to me?

15 But Jesus answered and said to him, Suffer me now; for thus, it becomes us to complete all righteousness. Then he suffered him;

16 and Jesus being baptized went up immediately from the water, and behold, the heavens were opened, and he saw the Spirit of God descend like a dove and come upon him. 17 And behold, a voice from the heavens, saying, This is my beloved Son, with whom I am well pleased.

Mark 1:9-11

9 In those days came Jesus from Nazareth of Galilee, and was baptized in the Jordan by John; 10 and going up immediately out of the water, he saw the heavens opened, and the Spirit descend like a dove upon him; 11 and there was a voice from heaven, You are my beloved Son, with whom I am well pleased.

Luke 3:21-22

21 And when all the people were baptized, Jesus also being baptized, and praying, heaven was opened, 22 and the Holy Spirit descended in a bodily form like a dove upon him; and there was a voice from heaven, saying, You are my beloved Son; with you I am well pleased.
