John 12:9-11 - The Decision To Kill Lazarus

⁹ When the great mass of the Jews learned that Jesus was there, they came not alone because of Jesus, but to see Lazarus also, whom he had raised from the dead. ¹⁰ And the chief priests plotted to kill Lazarus too, ¹¹ because it was on his account that many of the Jews were leaving them, and beginning to believe on Jesus.
