Matthew 24:36-44 - The Unknown Day And Hour
36 No one knows the day and the hour (the period of time). The angels of heaven do not know. The Son does not know. Only the Father knows! 37 The presence of the Son of man will be similar to the days of Noah. 38 It will be like those days before the Flood. They were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noah entered into the ark. 39 They were not aware until the Flood came and took them all away. The coming (presence) of the Son of man will be like this. 40 Two will be in the field. One will be taken, and one will be left. 41 Two will grind at the mill. One will be taken, and one will be left. 42 Be alert, for you do not know what day the Lord will come. 43 Know this, if the master of the house had known what time the thief was coming, he would have watched and his house would not have been vandalized. 44 Be prepared! The Son of man will come at a time when you do not expect it.
32 No one knows the day or hour. The angels in heaven do not know. The Son of God does not know. Only the Father knows! 33 Be awake (beware) (be cautious and active), watch (perceive) and pray, for you do not know the time. 34 It is similar to a man traveling to another country. He leaves his house and gives authority to his servants to do the work. He commands them to watch. 35 Watch therefore for you do not know when the lord of the house comes. It could be in the evening, at midnight or in the morning (when the cock crows). 36 He could come suddenly and find you sleeping. 37 What I say to you I say to all, be on the watch (be vigilant) (stay awake) (be circumspect) (attentive and ready)!
