Fausets
1. Nu 32:37; Jos 13:19. A town of Reuben. Belonged first to the Emim (Ge 14:5 Shaveh Kiriathaim. "the plain of Kiriathaim," or of the two cities) whom the Moabites dispossessed before the Exodus (De 2:10-11). Moab lost and recovered Kiriathaim when the trans-jordanic tribes were carried captive (Jer 48:1-23; Eze 25:9).
2. Kiriathaim of Naphtali, assigned to the Levitical Gershonites (1Ch 6:76).

And in the fourteenth year came Chedorlaomer, and the kings that were with him, and they shall smite the Rephaims in Ashtaroth Karnaim, and the Zuzims in Ham, and the Emims in Shaveh Kiriathaim.
(The Emims dwelt in it before them, a people great and many and high as the Anakims; And they will be reckoned Rephaims also, as the Anakims; and the Moabites will call them Emims.
