There he found, seated inside the temple, dealers in cattle, sheep and pigeons, also money-changers.

Making a scourge of cords, he drove them all, sheep and cattle together, out of the temple, scattered the coins of the brokers and upset their tables,

Later on Jesus met him in the temple, and said to him, "See, you are well and strong; commit no more sins, in case something worse befalls you."

When the festival was half over, Jesus went up to the temple and began to teach.

So Jesus cried aloud, as he was teaching in the temple, "You know me? you know where I come from? But I have not come on my own initiative; I am sent, and sent by Him who is real. You do not know Him,

At this they picked up stones to throw at him, but Jesus concealed himself and made his way out of the temple.

They looked out for Jesus, and as they stood in the temple they said to one another, "What do you think? Do you think he will not come up to the festival?"

Jesus answered, "I have spoken openly to the world; I have always taught in the synagogues and in the temple, where all Jews gather; I have said nothing in secret.
