But if we are troubled, it is for your comfort and salvation; or if we are comforted, it is for your comfort, which takes effect through your quiet undergoing of the same troubles which we undergo:

And our hope for you is certain; in the knowledge that as you take part in the troubles, so you will take part in the comfort.

I intended to take you on my way to Macedonia, and to visit you again on my way back from Macedonia, so as to be sped by you on my journey to Judaea.

And I wrote this same epistle unto you, lest if I came, I should take heaviness of them, of whom I ought to rejoice. Certainly this confidence have I in you all, that my joy is the joy of you all.

and not only by his arrival but also by the comfort he had received from you. He told us about your longing for me, your sorrow, and your eagerness to take my side, and this made me even happier.

Praying us with much intreaty that we would receive the gift, and take upon us the fellowship of the ministering to the saints.

Now, carry it through, so that your readiness to take it up may be equalled by the way you carry it through ??so far as your means allow.

it is a matter of give and take; at the present moment your surplus goes to make up what they lack, in order that their surplus may go to make up what you lack.

As it says in the Writings, He who had taken up much had nothing over and he who had little had enough.

For this work of giving not only takes care of the needs of the saints, but is the cause of much praise to God;

I beg you not to make me take as bold an attitude when I come, as I count on taking toward some people who suspect me of acting from worldly motives.

the weapons of my warfare are not weapons of the flesh, but divinely strong to demolish fortresses ??5 I demolish theories and any rampart thrown up to resist the knowledge of God, I take every project prisoner to make it obey Christ,

and every arrogant obstacle that is raised up against the knowledge of God, and we take every thought captive to make it obey Christ.

and are ready to take vengeance on all disobedience, when your obedience is fulfilled.

For though I might take pride in our authority (which the Lord gave for building you up, and not for your destruction), it will not be a cause of shame to me:

Let such people take this into their reckoning, that whatever we are in word by our letters when absent, the same are we also in act when present.

for I do not stretch beyond my limits to take you in; since in preaching the gospel of Christ, we are advanced even to you.

We do not exceed our due limits, and take credit for other men's labours; but we entertain the hope that, as your faith grows, we shall gain promotion among you--still keeping within our own sphere--promotion to a larger field of labour,

So that we may be able to go on and take the good news to countries still farther away than you are, and not take credit for another man's work in making things ready to our hand.

If I have to take credit to myself, I will do so in the things in which I am feeble.

In Damascus the governor under Aretas the king guarded the city of the Damascenes in order to take me:

And be it so, I -- I did not burden you, but being crafty, with guile I did take you;

Did I take advantage of you by any one of them whom I have sent unto you?

I exhorted Titus, and I sent the brother with him. Did Titus take any advantage of you? walked we not in the same spirit? walked we not in the same steps?

Finally, brethren, be joyful, secure perfection of character, take courage, be of one mind, live in peace. And then God who gives love and peace will be with you.
