All these things Jesus spoke to the crowd in parables; and without a parable he did not speak to them.

Jesus asked, "Have you understood all these things?" "Yes," they said to him.

When Jesus had finished these parables, he moved on from there.

And coming to his own country he taught them in their synagogue, so that they were astonished, and said, "Where did this man get this wisdom and these mighty works?

And are not all his sisters with us? Where then did this man get all these things?"

and he said to his servants, "This is John the Baptist, he has risen from the dead; that is why these powers are at work in him."

These are what defile a man; but to eat with unwashed hands does not defile a man."

Now when Jesus had finished these sayings, he went away from Galilee and entered the region of Judea beyond the Jordan.

The young man said to him, "All these I have kept. What do I still lack?"

And he said to her, "What do you want?" She said to him, "Grant that these two sons of mine may sit, one at your right hand and one at your left, in your kingdom."

and they said to him, "Do you hear what these are saying?" And Jesus said to them, "Yes. Have you never read, 'Out of the mouth of babes and nursing infants you have perfected praise'?"

And when he entered the temple, the chief priests and the elders of the people came up to him as he was teaching, and said, "By what authority are you doing these things, and who gave you this authority?"

Jesus answered them, "I also will ask you one question; and if you tell me the answer, then I also will tell you by what authority I do these things.

So they answered Jesus, "We do not know." And he said to them, "Neither will I tell you by what authority I do these things.

But he answered them, "You see all these things, do you not? Truly, I say to you, there will not be left here one stone upon another, that will not be thrown down."

Truly, I say to you, this generation will not pass away till all these things take place.

Then he will answer them, 'Truly, I say to you, as you did not do it to one of the least of these, you did not do it to me.'

When Jesus had finished all these sayings, he said to his disciples,

And the high priest stood up and said, "Have you no answer to make? What is it that these men testify against you?"

And immediately, when Jesus perceived in his spirit that they reasoned thus within themselves, he said to them, "Why do you reason about these things in your hearts?

And these likewise are the ones sown on rocky ground who, when they hear the word, immediately receive it with joy;

And when the Sabbath had come, he began to teach in the synagogue. And many who heard him were astonished, saying, "Where did this man get these things? And what wisdom is this which is given to him, that such mighty works are performed by his hands!

King Herod heard of it, for Jesus' name had become well known. Some said, "John the Baptist has been raised from the dead, and that is why these powers are at work in him."

All these evil things come from within, and they defile a man."

And his disciples answered him, "How can one feed these men with bread here in the desert?"

They also had a few small fish; and having blessed them, he commanded that these also should be set before them.

And he said to him, "Teacher, all these I have observed from my youth."

And they said to him, "By what authority are you doing these things? Who gave you this authority to do them?"

Jesus said to them, "I will ask you one question; answer me, and I will tell you by what authority I do these things.

So they answered Jesus, "We do not know." And Jesus said to them, "Neither will I tell you by what authority I do these things."

And Jesus said to him, "Do you see all these great buildings? There will not be left here one stone upon another, that will not be thrown down."

"Tell us, when will this be? And what will be the sign when these things are all to be fulfilled?"

For nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. And there will be earthquakes in various places, and there will be famines and troubles. These are the beginning of birth pains.

So also, when you see these things happening, you know that it is near, right at the door.

Truly, I say to you, this generation will not pass away before all these things take place.

And the high priest stood up in the midst, and asked Jesus, "Have you no answer to make? What is it that these men testify against you?"

And behold, you will be silent and not able to speak until the day that these things come to pass, because you did not believe my words, which will be fulfilled in their time."

After these days his wife Elizabeth conceived, and for five months she hid herself, saying,

And fear came on all their neighbors. And all these things were discussed throughout all the hill country of Judea;

Therefore bear fruits worthy of repentance, and do not begin to say to yourselves, 'We have Abraham as our father.' For I tell you that God is able to raise up children to Abraham from these stones.

Then the disciples of John told him about all these things.

And the ones on the rock are those who, when they hear the word, receive it with joy; but these have no root, they believe for a while and in time of temptation fall away.

But he said to them, "You give them something to eat." And they said, "We have no more than five loaves and two fishunless we go and buy food for all these people."

Now about eight days after these sayings, he took with him Peter and John and James, and went up on the mountain to pray.

"Let these words sink into your ears, for the Son of Man is about to be betrayed into the hands of men."

And so it was that when he returned, having received the kingdom, he then commanded these servants, to whom he had given the money, to be called to him, that he might know what they had gained by trading.

He answered, "I tell you, if these keep silent, the stones would cry out."

and said to him, "Tell us by what authority are you doing these things? Or who it is that gave you this authority."

And Jesus said to them, "Neither will I tell you by what authority I do these things."

for these all contributed out of their abundance, but she out of her poverty put in all that she had to live on."

"As for these things which you see, the days will come when there shall not be left here one stone upon another that will not be thrown down."
