The Lord met with Balaam and put a message in his mouth. Then He said, “Return to Balak and say what I tell you.”

And when he came to him, behold, he stood by his burnt offering, and the princes of Moab with him. And Balak said unto him, What hath the LORD spoken?

Balaam proclaimed his poem:

Balak did just what Balaam had instructed he offered a bull and a ram on each altar.

They shall have equal portions to eat, except what they receive from the sale of their fathers’ estates.

This is according to all that you asked of the Lord your God at Horeb (Mount Sinai) on the day of the assembly, saying, ‘Let me not hear the voice of the Lord my God again, nor see this great fire anymore, so that I will not die.’

And Yahweh said to me, 'They are right [in] what they have said.
