Book Summary:
Haggai portrays Christ as the desire of all nations. Zechariah however shows Jesus as the righteous branch. He foretells the Savior more than any other book outside Isaiah. He shows Christ as the branch, foretells His entry into Jerusalem ,shows Him as the good Shepherd, the stricken Shepherd, foretells His betrayal for thirty pieces of silver, His hands pierced , how He was wounded for His friends , Haggai foretold Christ’s ascension from the Mount of Olives as recorded in acts 1:11 and he looks forward to Christ’s coming on the same mountain.
