Hebrews 4:1 (show verse)

Let us, therefore, fear, lest a promise still being left of entering into His rest, any one of you should seem to have come short of it.

Hebrews 4:2 (show verse)

For, indeed, we have had the Gospel proclaimed to us, even as also they; but the word which they heard did not profit them, not having been mingled with faith on the part of those who heard.

Hebrews 4:3 (show verse)

For we who believed do enter into rest, even as He said, "As I swore in My wrath, they shall not enter into My rest; although the works were finished from the founding of a world."

Hebrews 4:4 (show verse)

For He hath spoken somewhere concerning the seventh day thus: "And God rested on the seventh day from all His works;"

Hebrews 4:5 (show verse)

and, in this place, again: "They shall not enter into My rest."

Hebrews 4:6 (show verse)

Since, therefore, it remains for some to enter into it, and those to whom the Gospel was formerly proclaimed entered not in because of unbelief,

again He designateth a certain day, "To-day" (saying in David, after so long a time, as has been before said), "To-day, if ye hear His voice, harden not your hearts."

For, had Joshua given them rest, He would not afterward have spoken of another day.

Consequently, there remains a sabbath-keeping for the people of God.

For He Who entered into His rest, Himself also rested from his works, as God did from His Own.

Let us, therefore, give diligence to enter into that rest, that no one fall after the same example of unbelief.

For the word of God is living, and effectual, and sharper than any two-edged sword, and piercing even to a dividing of soul and spirit, of both joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.

And there is no creature that is not manifest in His presence; but all things are naked and laid bare to the eyes of Him with Whom is our account.

Hebrews 4:14 (show verse)

Having, therefore, a great High Priest, Who hath passed through the heavens, Jesus, the Son of God, let us hold fast the confession;

Hebrews 4:15 (show verse)

for we have not a High Priest, unable to sympathize with our infirmities, but One Who hath been tempted in all points like as we, apart from sin.

Hebrews 4:16 (show verse)

Let us, therefore, come with boldness to the throne of grace, that we may receive mercy, and find grace for seasonable help.
