But to the saints that are in the earth, and to the noble, in whom is all my delight.

Be tender loving one to another with brotherly love; in honor preferring one another;

Therefore we were comforted in your comfort: yea, and exceedingly the more we rejoiced at the joy of Titus, because his spirit was refreshed by you all. For if I have boasted anything to him of you, I am not ashamed; but as we spoke all things to you in truth, even so our boasting, which I made before Titus, is found to be truth. And his inward affection is more abundant toward you, as he remembers the obedience of you all, how with fear and trembling you received him.

So being affectionately desirous of you, we were willing to have imparted unto you, not the gospel of God only, but also our own souls, because you were dear unto us.

For God is my witness, how greatly I long after you all in the affections of Jesus Christ.

My little children, of whom I travail in birth again until Christ be formed in you,

Besides those things that are outside, that which comes upon me daily, the care of all the churches.

But we were gentle among you, even as a nurse cherishes her children: So being affectionately desirous of you, we were willing to have imparted unto you, not the gospel of God only, but also our own souls, because you were dear unto us.
