Then the devil left him, and, behold, angels came and ministered unto him.

But the angel said unto them, Fear not; for, behold, I bring you a gospel of great joy, which shall be to all the people. For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Saviour, who is Christ the Lord. And this shall be a sign unto you; Ye shall find the babe wrapped in swaddling clothes, lying in a manger.

And without controversy great is the mystery of godliness: God was manifest in the flesh, justified in the Spirit, seen of angels, preached unto the Gentiles, believed on in the world, received up into glory.

And when he had spoken these things, while they beheld, he was taken up; and a cloud received him out of their sight. And while they looked steadfastly toward heaven as he went up, behold, two men stood by them in white apparel, who also said, Ye men of Galilee, what do ye stand gazing at up into heaven? This same Jesus, who is taken up from you into heaven, shall so come in like manner as ye have seen him go into heaven.

For he shall give his angels charge over thee to keep thee in all thy ways. They shall bear thee up in their hands lest thy foot stumble against a stone.

And there appeared an angel unto him from heaven, strengthening him.

Thinkest thou that I cannot now pray to my Father, and he shall presently give me more than twelve legions of angels?

And he shall send his angels with a trumpet and a great voice, and they shall gather together his elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other.
