7 Bible Verses about Animal Mothers

You are to do the same with your oxen and your sheep. They shall be with their mother for seven days and then on the eighth day you are to give them to me.

"Whenever a bull, a sheep, or a goat is born, it is to remain for seven days under the care of its mother. But on the eighth day onwards, it may be accepted as an offering made by fire to the LORD.

However, you are not to slaughter a bull or a ewe along with its offspring on the same day.

"When you encounter a bird's nest along the road, whether in a tree or on the ground, and the mother bird is sitting on its chicks or eggs, don't take the mother along with its young. You may take the young, but be sure to release the mother, so that life will go well for you and that you may have a long life.
