And let them make Me a sanctuary, so that I may dwell among them. According to all that I show you, the pattern of the tabernacle, and the pattern of all the instruments of it, even so you shall make it.

And you shall make the tabernacle with ten curtains of fine twined bleached linen, and blue, and purple, and scarlet. You shall make them with cherubs, of the work of a cunning workman. The length of one curtain shall be twenty-eight cubits, and the breadth of one curtain four cubits. And every one of the curtains shall have one measure. And five curtains shall be joined, each to its sister-piece.read more.
And you shall make loops of blue on the edge of one curtain, from the end at the juncture; and so you shall do at the edge of the last curtain, at the second juncture. You shall make fifty loops in the one curtain, and you shall make fifty loops in the end of the curtain which is at second juncture, the corresponding loops each to her sister. You shall make fifty clasps of gold, and you shall join the curtains each to her sister by the clasps. And it shall be one tabernacle. And you shall make curtains of goats' hair to be a tent over the tabernacle. You shall make eleven curtains. The length of one curtain shall be thirty cubits, and the breadth of one curtain four cubits, one measure to the eleven curtains. And you shall join five curtains by themselves, and six curtains by themselves. And you shall double the sixth curtain in the forefront of the tabernacle. And you shall make fifty loops on the edge of one curtain, the last at the juncture, and fifty loops on the edge of the second curtain that joins. And you shall make fifty clasps of bronze, and put the clasps into the loops, and couple the tent together, so that it may be one. And the rest that remains of the curtains of the tent, the half curtain that remains, shall hang over the backside of the tabernacle. And the cubit from this side, and the cubit from that side that remains in the length of the curtains of the tent shall be hung over the sides of the tabernacle, from this and from that side, to cover it. And you shall make a covering for the tent of rams' skins dyed red, and a covering above of dugong skins. And you shall make boards for the tabernacle of acacia-wood standing up. Ten cubits shall be the length of one board, and a cubit and a half shall be the breadth of one board. There shall be two pins in one board, each connected to its sister-piece. So you shall do for all the boards of the tabernacle. And you shall make the boards for the tabernacle, twenty boards on the south side southward. And you shall make forty sockets of silver under the twenty boards-- two sockets under one board for its two pins, and two sockets under another board for its two pins. And for the second side of the tabernacle on the north side shall be twenty boards, and their forty sockets of silver, two sockets under one board, and two sockets under another board. And for the sides of the tabernacle westward you shall make six boards. And you shall make two boards for the corners of the tabernacle in the sides. And they shall be coupled together beneath, and they shall be coupled together above the head of it to one ring. So it shall be for them both. They shall be for the two corners. And there shall be eight boards, and their sockets of silver, sixteen sockets, two sockets under one board, and two sockets under another board. And you shall make bars of acacia-wood, five for the boards of the one side of the tabernacle, and five bars for the boards of the other side of the tabernacle; and five bars for the side of the tabernacle, for the two sides westward. And the middle bar in the midst of the boards shall reach from end to end. And you shall overlay the boards with gold, and you shall make their rings of gold, housings for the bars. And you shall overlay the bars with gold. And you shall rear up the tabernacle according to the pattern of it which was shown you in the mountain. And you shall make a veil of blue, and purple, and scarlet, and fine twined bleached linen of embroidered work. It shall be made with cherubs. And you shall hang it upon four pillars of acacia overlaid with gold. Their hooks shall be of gold, upon the four sockets of silver. And you shall hang up the veil under the clasps, that you may bring the ark of the testimony in there within the veil. And the veil shall divide for you between the holy place and the Holy of Holies. And you shall put the mercy-seat upon the ark of the testimony in the Holy of Holies. And you shall set the table outside the veil, and the lampstand over against the table on the side of the tabernacle toward the south. And you shall put the table on the north side. And you shall make a screen for the door of the tent, of blue, and purple, and scarlet, and fine twined bleached linen, worked with needlework. And you shall make five pillars of acacia-wood for the screen, and overlay them with gold; their hooks shall be of gold. And you shall cast five sockets of bronze for them.

And David gave to his son Solomon the pattern of the porch, and of its houses, and of its treasuries, and of its upper rooms, and of its innermost rooms, and of the place of the mercy-seat, and the pattern of all that he had by the Spirit, of the courts of the house of Jehovah, and of all the rooms all around the treasuries of the house of God, and of the treasuries of the holy things;

And it happened in the four hundred and eightieth year after the sons of Israel had come out of the land of Egypt, in the fourth year of Solomon's reign over Israel, in the month Zif, which is the second month, he began to build the house of Jehovah. And the house which King Solomon built for Jehovah, its length was sixty cubits and its breadth twenty cubits, and its height thirty cubits. And the porch before the temple of the house was twenty cubits in length, according to the breadth of the house. Ten cubits was its breadth on the front of the house.read more.
And for the house he made windows of narrow frames. And against the wall of the house he built floors all around, against the walls of the house all around, of the temple and of the sanctuary. And he made rooms all around. The lowest story was five cubits broad, and the middle was six cubits broad, and the third was seven cubits broad. For around the outside of the house he made narrowed ledges for the house all around, so as not to lay hold of the walls of the house. And when it was being built, the house was built of stone made ready beforehand. And there was not heard in the house a hammer or an axe, or any iron tool, while it was being built. The door for the middle story was in the right side of the house. And they went up with winding stairs into the middle story, and out of the middle into the third. And he built the house and finished it. And he covered the house with beams and rows of cedar. And he built the side-stories on all the house, five cubits high. And they rested on the house with timbers of cedar.

All was in writing from the hand of Jehovah. He made me understand all the work of this pattern.

And Solomon began to build the house of Jehovah at Jerusalem in Mount Moriah, where He appeared to David his father, in the place that David had prepared in the threshing-floor of Ornan the Jebusite. And he began to build in the second day of the second month, in the fourth year of his reign. Now these are the foundations Solomon laid, to build the house of God. And the gold was gold of Parvaim. He also overlaid the house, the beams, the posts, and its walls, and its doors, with gold. And he engraved cherubs on the walls. And he made the Most Holy Place. Its length was by the front, of the breadth of the house, twenty cubits, and its breadth, twenty cubits. And he overlaid it with fine gold, to six hundred talents. And the weight of the nails was fifty shekels of gold. And he overlaid the upper rooms with gold. And in the most holy house he made two cherubs of carved work, and overlaid them with gold. And the wings of the cherubs were twenty cubits long. One wing was five cubits, touching to the wall of the house; and the other wing five cubits, touching to the wing of the other cherub. And one wing of the other cherub was five cubits, touching to the wall of the house; and the other wing five cubits, touching to the wing of the other cherub. The wings of these cherubims spread themselves forth twenty cubits. And they stood on their feet, and their faces were inward. And he made the veil of blue, and purple, and crimson, and fine linen, and worked cherubs on it. He also made two pillars of thirty-five cubits high in front of the house, and the capital on the tops of each of them was five cubits. And he made chains, as in the holy place, and put them on the tops of the pillars. And he made a hundred pomegranates and put them on the chains. And he reared up the pillars before the temple, one on the right hand and the other on the left. And he called the name of the one on the right Jachin, and the name of the one on the left Boaz.

And he made an altar of bronze. Twenty cubits was the length of it, and twenty cubits its breadth, and ten cubits its height. And he cast a sea of melted bronze, ten cubits from brim to brim. It was round, and five cubits was its height. And a line of thirty cubits went around it. And under it was the shape of oxen, under it and all around it for ten cubits, going all around the sea. It stood on twelve oxen, three facing the north, and three facing the west, and three facing the south, and three facing the east. And the sea was set above on them, and all their hinder parts were inward. And its thickness was a handbreadth, and its brim like the work of the brim of a cup, with flowers of lilies. They washed in them such things as they offered for the burnt offering. But the sea was for the priests to wash in. And he made the court of the priests, and the great court, and doors for the court, and overlaid their doors with bronze. And he set the sea on the right side of the east end, over against the south. And Hiram made the pots, and the shovels, and the basins. And Hiram finished the work that he was to make for King Solomon for the house of God: the two pillars, and the bowls, and the capitals on the tops of the two pillars, and the two wreaths to cover the two bowls of the capitals which were on the top of the pillars, and four hundred pomegranates on the two wreaths, two rows of pomegranates on each wreath, to cover the two bowls of the capitals on the pillars. He also made bases, and he made lavers on the bases; and one sea, and twelve oxen under it. And Hiram made the pots, and the shovels, and the flesh-hooks, and all their vessels of burnished bronze for King Solomon for the house of Jehovah. In the plain of Jordan the king cast them, in the clay ground between Succoth and Zeredathah. And Solomon made all these vessels in great abundance. For the weight of the bronze could not be found out. And Solomon made all the vessels for the house of God, and the golden altar, and the tables on which the showbread was set; and the lampstands of pure gold with their lamps, so that they should burn according to the Law before the holy place; and the flowers, and the lamps, and the tongs of gold, perfect gold; and the snuffers, and the basins, and the spoons, and the censers, of pure gold; and the entrance of the house, the inner doors of it for the Holy of Holies, and the doors of the house of the temple, of gold.

as Moses the servant of Jehovah commanded the sons of Israel, as it is written in the book of the Law of Moses, an altar of whole stones over which no man has lifted any iron. And they offered on it burnt offerings to Jehovah, and sacrificed peace offerings.

And if you will make Me an altar of stone, you shall not build it of cut stone. For if you lift up your tool upon it, you have defiled it.

And King Ahaz went to Damascus to meet Tiglath-pileser king of Assyria at Damascus. And he saw an altar at Damascus. And King Ahaz sent to Urijah the priest the pattern of the altar, and the form of it, according to all its work. And Urijah the priest built an altar according to all that King Ahaz had sent from Damascus. So Urijah the priest did until King Ahaz came in from Damascus.

When you build a new house, then you shall make a guard rail for your roof, so that you do not bring blood on your house, if one falls from it.

In the twenty-fifth year of our captivity, in the beginning of the year, in the tenth of the month, in the fourteenth year after the city was stricken, in the same day the hand of Jehovah was on me, and brought me there. In the visions of God He brought me into the land of Israel, and made me rest on a very high mountain. And it went up, as the structure of the city on the south. And He brought me there, and behold, a man whose appearance was like the appearance of bronze, and a line of flax in his hand, and a measuring reed. And he stood in the gate.read more.
And the man said to me, Son of man, behold with your eyes and hear with your ears, and set your heart on all that I shall show you. For you are brought here so that I might show them to you. Declare all that you see to the house of Israel. And behold, a wall on the outside of the house all around, and in the man's hand was a measuring reed, six cubits long, with a cubit and a span. And he measured the building's breadth, one reed; and the height, one reed. And he came to the gate which faced eastward, and went up its steps, and measured the threshold of the gate, one reed wide, even the one threshold, one reed wide. And a room was one reed long and one reed wide. And between the rooms were five cubits. And the threshold of the gate by the porch of the gate from the house, one reed. He also measured the porch of the gate inside, one reed. And he measured the porch of the gate, eight cubits; and its pillars, two cubits; also the porch of the gate from the house. And the gate rooms eastward were three from here, and three from there; one measure to the three of them; and one measure was to the pillars from here and from there. And he measured the breadth of the gate-opening, ten cubits. The length of the gate was thirteen cubits. And the border in front of the rooms was one cubit from here, and the space was one cubit from there. And the room was six cubits from here and six cubits from there. And he measured the gate of the room from the roof to roof, twenty-five cubits wide, door to door. He also made the pillars, sixty cubits, even to the court-pillar, from the gate all around. And on the face of the entrance gate to the face of the porch of the inner gate was fifty cubits; and latticed windows were to the rooms and to their pillars inside the gate all around. And so for the porches; and windows were all around inside; and to each pillar were palm trees. And he brought me into the outer court, and lo, chambers, and a pavement made for the court all around. Thirty rooms were on the pavement. And the pavement by the side of the gates to equal the length of the gates was the lower pavement. And he measured the breadth from the front of the lower gate to the front of the inner court on the outside, a hundred cubits eastward and northward. And the gate which faces the way of the north of the outer court, he measured its length and its breadth. And its rooms were three from here and three from there. And its pillars and its porches were according to the first measure. Its length was fifty cubits, and its breadth, twenty-five cubits. And their windows, and their porches, and their palm trees, were according to the measure of the gate facing the east. And they went up to it by seven steps; and its porches were before them. And the gate of the inner court was across from the gate toward the north and toward the east. And he measured from gate to gate, a hundred cubits. And he led me southward, and behold a gate southward. And he measured its pillars and its porches according to these measures. And there were windows in it and in its porches all around, like those windows. The length was fifty cubits, and the breadth, twenty-five cubits. And seven steps were going up to it, and its porches were before them. And it had palm trees, one from here and another from there, on its pillars. And there was a gate in the inner court southward. And he measured from gate to gate southward, a hundred cubits. And he brought me to the inner court by the south gate. And he measured the south gate according to these measures, and its rooms and its pillars and its porches according to these measures. And there were windows in it and in its porches all around. It was fifty cubits long and twenty-five cubits wide. And the porches all around were twenty-five cubits long and five cubits wide. And its porches were toward the outer court; and palm trees on its pillars. And its stairway had eight steps. And he brought me into the inner court eastward. And he measured the gate according to these measures. And its rooms, and its pillars, and its porches, were measured according to these measures. And there were windows in it and in its porches all around. It was fifty cubits long and twenty-five cubits wide. And its porches were toward the outer court. And palm trees were on its pillars, from here, and from there. And its stairway had eight steps. And he brought me to the north gate, and measured it according to these measures; its rooms, its pillars, and its porches, and its windows all around. The length was fifty cubits, and the breadth twenty-five cubits. And its pillars were toward the outer court. And palm trees were on its pillars, from here and from there. And its stairway had eight steps. And the chamber and its door was by the pillars of the gates; they washed the burnt offering there. And in the porch of the gate were two tables from here and two tables from there, for the slaughtering of the burnt offering and the sin offering and the trespass offering. And to the side outside, as one goes up to the door of the gate northward were two tables; and on the other side at the porch of the gate, two tables. Four tables were from here, and four tables were from there, by the side of the gate: eight tables; they slaughter on them. And the four tables for burnt offering were of cut stone, a cubit and a half long, and a cubit and a half wide, and one cubit high. They also rested on them the instruments with which they slaughtered the burnt offering and the sacrifice. And the double hooks of one span were fastened in the house all around, and on the tables the flesh of the offering. And from the outside to the inner court were the chambers of the singers in the inner court, which was at the side of the north gate. And their face was southward: one at the side of the east gate looked the way of the north. And he said to me, This chamber facing southward is for the priests, the keepers of the charge of the house. And the chamber facing northward is for the priests, the keepers of the charge of the altar. They are the sons of Zadok among the sons of Levi, who come near Jehovah to minister to Him. And he measured the court, a square, a hundred cubits long and a hundred cubits wide; and the altar was before the house. And he brought me to the porch of the house and measured each pillar of the porch, five cubits from here and five cubits from there. And the gate was three cubits wide from here and three cubits from there. The porch was twenty cubits long, and eleven cubits wide. And he brought me by the steps by which they went up to it. And columns were by the pillars, one from here and another from there.

And he brought me to the temple and measured the pillars, six cubits wide from here and six cubits wide from there, which was the breadth of the tabernacle. And the breadth of the door was ten cubits; and the sides of the door, five cubits from here, and five cubits from there. And he measured its length, forty cubits, and the breadth, twenty cubits. And he went inside and measured the pillar of the door, two cubits; and the door was six cubits; and the breadth of the door, seven cubits.read more.

And he measured the wall of the house, six cubits; and the width of each side room was four cubits, all around the house on every side. And the side chambers were a side chamber over a side chamber, three stories, and thirty times. The foundations of the side rooms were a full reed, six large cubits by joining. The width of the wall, which was for the side chamber to the outside, was five cubits, and what was left between the side chambers that were of the house. And between the chambers was the width of twenty cubits, circling the house all around. And the door of the side chamber was toward the open space, one door northward and one door southward. And the width of the place of the open space was five cubits all around. And the building that was before the separate place at the end of the way of the west was seventy cubits wide. And the wall of the building was five cubits wide all around, and its length, ninety cubits. And he measured the house, a hundred cubits long. And the separate place, and the building, and its wall, were a hundred cubits long. And the width of the front of the house and of the separate place eastward was a hundred cubits. And he measured the length of the building to the front of the separate place which was behind it; and its gallery from here and from there, a hundred cubits, with the inner temple and the porches of the court, the thresholds, and the latticed narrow windows, and the galleries all around, their three stories across from the threshold, with wood panelings all around, and from the ground up to the windows; and the windows were covered; to that above the door, even to the inner house, and outside, and by all the wall around inside and outside, by measure. And it was made with cherubs and palm trees, and a palm tree was between cherub and cherub. And each cherub had two faces, the face of a man was toward the palm tree from here, and the face of a young lion toward the palm tree from there. It was made through all the house all around. From the ground to above the door were cherubs and palm trees made, and on the wall of the temple. The temple doorposts were squared, and the face of the sanctuary. The looks of the one was like the looks of the other. The altar of wood was three cubits high, and its length two cubits. And its corners, and its length, and its walls, were of wood. And he said to me, This is the table that is before Jehovah. And the temple and the sanctuary had two doors. And two doors leaves were to each of the doors, two turning doors, two for the one door, and two for the other door. And on them, on the temple doors, were made cherubs and palm trees like those made on the walls, and thick wood on the face of the porch outside. And latticed windows, and palm trees, were from here and from there, on the sides of the porch, and on the side chambers of the house, and wooden canopies.

And he brought me out into the outer court, the way northward. And he brought me into the chamber that was across from the separate place and which was in front of the building to the north. Before the length of a hundred cubits was the north door, and the width was fifty cubits. Across from the twenty cubits which were for the inner court, and across from the pavement which was for the outer court, gallery was on gallery in three stories.read more.
And before the chambers was a walk of ten cubits width inward, a way of one cubit. And their doors were northward. And the upper chambers were shorter; for the galleries used up more space than the lower and middle ones in the building. For they were in three stories, but there were no columns to them like the columns of the courts. So the third story was made narrower than the lower and the middle stories from the ground. And the wall that was outside near the chambers, toward the outer court on the front of the chambers, its length was fifty cubits. For the length of the chambers that were in the outer court was fifty cubits. And lo, in front of the temple was a hundred cubits. And under these chambers was the entrance on the east side, as one goes into them from the outer court, in the width of the wall of the court eastward, to the front of the separate area, and to the front of the building were chambers. And the way in front of them looked like the chambers which were northward, as their length, so their width. And all their exits were as their patterns, and as their doors. And as the doors of the chambers that were southward was a door in the head of the way, even the way directly in front of the wall eastward, as one enters them. And he said to me, The north chambers and the south chambers which are in front of the separate place, they are holy chambers, where the priests shall eat, those who approach to Jehovah shall eat the most holy things. There they shall lay the most holy things, and the food offering, and the sin offering, and the guilt offering. For the place is holy. When the priests enter, then they shall not go out of the holy place into the outer court, but they shall lay their clothes there by which they minister in them, for they are holy. And they shall put on other clothes, and shall approach that which is for the people. And he finished measuring the inner house; he brought me out the way of the gate whose view is eastward, and measured all around. He measured the east side with the measuring reed, five hundred reeds with the measuring reed, all around. He measured the north side, five hundred reeds with the measuring reed all around. He measured the south side, five hundred reeds with the measuring reed. He turned to the west side, measuring five hundred reeds with the measuring reed. He measured it by the four sides. It had a wall all around, five hundred long, and five hundred wide, to make a separation between the holy place and the common place.

You, son of man, declare to the house of Israel, the temple house, so that they may be ashamed of their iniquities. And let them measure its size. And if they are ashamed of all that they have done, the form of the house, and its arrangement, and its exits, and its entrances, and all its forms, and all its statutes, and all its forms, and all its laws, make known to them. And write them before their eyes, so that they may observe all its form, and all its statutes, and do them. This is the law of the house. On the top of the mountain is all its border, all around, most holy. Behold, this is the law of the house.read more.
And these are the measures of the altar by the cubit. The cubit is a cubit and a span; even the base shall be a cubit, and the width a cubit, and its border by its edge all around shall be a span. And this is the upper part of the altar. And from the base on the ground even to the lower ledge shall be two cubits, and the width one cubit. And from the smaller ledge even to the greater ledge shall be four cubits, and the width one cubit. And the altar hearth shall be four cubits, and from the altar hearth and upward shall be four horns. And the altar hearth shall be twelve cubits long, twelve wide, square in its four sides. And the ledge shall be fourteen long and fourteen wide in its four sides. And the border around it shall be half a cubit, and its base a cubit around. And its steps shall face eastward.

And they said, Come, let us build us a city and a tower, and its top in the heavens. And let us make a name for ourselves, lest we be scattered upon the face of the whole earth.

And Solomon was thirteen years building his own house. And he finished all his house. And he built the house of the forest of Lebanon. Its length was a hundred cubits, and its breadth fifty cubits, and its height thirty cubits, on four rows of cedar pillars, with cedar beams on the pillars. And it was covered with cedar above on the beams that lay on forty-five pillars, fifteen in a row.read more.
And windows were in three rows, and light was against light in three rows. And all the doors and posts were square, with the windows. And the front of a window was against a window in three rows. And he made a porch of pillars. Its length was fifty cubits, and its breadth thirty cubits. And the porch was before them, and the pillars and the roof were over them. And he made a porch of the throne where he judged, the porch of judgment. And it was covered with cedar from floor to floor. As to his house where he lived, the other court was within the porch, as this work was. Solomon also made a house for Pharaoh's daughter, whom he had taken, like this porch. All these were of costly stones, according to the measures of hewn stones, sawed with saws, inside and out, even from the foundation to the coping, and so on the outside toward the great court. And the foundation was of costly stones, huge stones, stones of ten cubits, and stones of eight cubits. And above were costly stones, according to the measures of hewn stone and cedar. And the great court all around was with three rows of hewn stone, and a row of cedar beams, both for the inner court of the house of Jehovah, and for the porch of the house.

Through wisdom a house is built, and by understanding it is established; and by knowledge the rooms shall be filled with all precious and pleasant riches.

Woe to him who builds his house by unrighteousness and his upper rooms without justice; his neighbor serves without pay, and he does not give him for his work; who says, I will build myself a wide house and large rooms, and cuts out windows for himself, and puts in a cedar ceiling, and paints it with vermilion.

Make an ark of cyprus timbers. You shall make rooms in the ark. And you shall pitch it inside and outside with pitch. And this is the way you shall make it. The length of the ark shall be three hundred cubits, the breadth of it shall be fifty cubits and its height thirty cubits. You shall make a window in the ark, and you shall finish it above to a cubit. And you shall set the door of the ark in the side of it. You shall make it with lower, second and third stories.

The Stone which the builders refused has become the Head of the corner.

Jesus said to them, Did you never read in the Scriptures, "The stone which the builders rejected, this One has become the head of the corner; this is the Lord's doing, and it is marvelous in our eyes?"

And have you not read this scripture "The Stone which the builders rejected has become the Head of the corner:

And He looked at them and said, What then is this which is written, "The Stone which the builders rejected, the same has become the Head of the corner?

Therefore to you who believe is the honor. But to those who are disobedient, He is the Stone which the builders rejected; this One came to be the Head of the corner,

Therefore whoever hears these sayings of Mine, and does them, I will liken him to a wise man who built his house on a rock. And the rain came down, and the floods came, and the winds blew and beat on that house. And it did not fall, for it was founded on a rock.
