And the doors shall be shut in the streets, when the sound of the grinding is low, and one shall rise up at the voice of the bird, and all the daughters of music shall be brought low;

And Peter remembered the words of Jesus, who said unto him, Before the cock crows, you shall deny me three times. And he went out, and wept bitterly.

Then began he to curse and to swear, saying, I know not the man. And immediately the cock crowed.

And Peter said, Man, I know not what you say. And immediately, while he yet spoke, the cock crowed.

Peter then denied again: and immediately the cock crowed.

We all growl like bears, and mourn greatly like doves: we look for justice, but there is none; for salvation, but it is far off from us.
