Then Judas, the one having betrayed Him, seeing that He was condemned, being seized with remorse, returned the thirty pieces of silver to the chief priests and elders, saying, I sinned betraying the innocent blood. And they said, What is that to us? See thou to it.

In order that the blood of all the prophets poured out from the foundation of the world, may be required from this generation; from the blood of Abel unto the blood of Zachariah, who perished between the altar and the house; yea, I say unto you, it shall be required of this generation.

Therefore I judge, that we should not burden those from the Gentiles turning to God: but to command them to abstain from things offered to idols, and from fornication, and from strangulation, and from blood.
