8 Bible Verses about Children, With Jesus

Then some children were brought up to him so that he might lay his hands on them and pray, but his disciples reproved the people for it. But Jesus said, "Let the children alone, and do not try to keep them from coming to me, for the Kingdom of Heaven belongs to such as they are."

And people brought children to him to have him touch them, but the disciples reproved them for it. People brought babies to him to have him touch them, but the disciples, when they saw it, reproved them for it. And he took a child and made him stand among them, and he put his arms around him, and said to them, "Whoever welcomes one child like this on my account is welcoming me, and whoever welcomes me, welcomes not me but him who has sent me."

But Jesus knew the question that was in their minds and he took a child and made him stand by his side, and said to them, "Whoever welcomes this child on my account is welcoming me, and whoever welcomes me, welcomes him who has sent me. For it is the lowliest among you all who is really great."

In just that way, it is the will of my Father in heaven that not a single one of these children be lost.
