10 Bible Verses about Christ's Knowledge Of The Scriptures

And beginning from Moses and from all the prophets, he interpreted to them the things concerning himself in all the scriptures.

But he answered [and] said, "It is written, 'Man will not live on bread alone, but on every word that comes out of the mouth of God."

And Jesus replied to him, "It is written, 'Man will not live on bread alone.'"

"You have heard that it was said to the {people of old}, 'Do not commit murder,' and 'whoever commits murder will be subject to judgment.'

So he said to them, "Have you not read what David did when he was hungry, and those with him, how he entered into the house of God and ate the bread of the presentation, which it was not permitted for him or for those with him to eat, but only for the priests? Or have you not read in the law that on the Sabbath the priests in the temple violate the sanctity of the Sabbath and are guiltless?read more.
But I tell you that [something] greater than the temple is here! And if you had known what {it means}, 'I want mercy and not sacrifice,' you would not have condemned the guiltless.

But Jesus answered [and] said to them, "You are mistaken, [because] you do not know the scriptures or the power of God! For in the resurrection they neither marry nor are given in marriage, but are like angels of God in heaven. Now concerning the resurrection of the dead, have you not read what was spoken to you by God, who said,read more.
"I am the God of Abraham and the God of Isaac and the God of Jacob"? He is not the God of the dead, but of the living!"

Jesus said to them, "Are you not deceived because of this, [because you] do not know the scriptures or the power of God? For when they rise from the dead, they neither marry nor are given in marriage, but are like angels in heaven. Now concerning the dead, that they are raised, have you not read in the book of Moses {in the passage about the bush} how God spoke to him, saying, 'I [am] the God of Abraham and the God of Isaac and the God of Jacob'?read more.
He is not God of the dead, but of the living. You are very much mistaken!"

And Jesus said to them, "The sons of this age marry and are given in marriage, but those who are considered worthy to attain to that age and [to] the resurrection from the dead neither marry nor are given in marriage, for they are not even able to die any longer, because they are like the angels and are sons of God, [because they] are sons of the resurrection.read more.
But that the dead are raised, even Moses revealed in [the passage about] the bush, when he calls the Lord the God of Abraham and [the] God of Isaac and [the] God of Jacob. Now he is not God of the dead, but of the living, for all live to him!"

For just as the days of Noah [were], so the coming of the Son of Man will be. For as in the days before the flood they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day Noah entered into the ark. And they did not know [anything] until the deluge came and swept [them] all away. So also the coming of the Son of Man will be.

And just as it was in the days of Noah, so also it will be in the days of the Son of Man-- they were eating, they were drinking, they were marrying, they were being given in marriage, until the day Noah entered into the ark, and the flood came and destroyed [them] all. Likewise, just as it was in the days of Lot--they were eating, they were drinking, they were buying, they were selling, they were planting, they were building.read more.
But on the day that Lot went out from Sodom, it rained fire and sulphur from heaven and destroyed [them] all.
