Brothers, think about your own calling. Not many of you were wise by human standards, not many were powerful, not many were of noble birth.
including us, whom he also called, not only from the Jews but from the gentiles as well?
Faithful is the God by whom you were called into fellowship with his Son Jesus the Messiah, our Lord.
Brothers, everyone should stay in the same condition in which he was called by God.

Fight the good fight for the faith. Keep holding on to eternal life, to which you were called and about which you gave a good testimony in front of many witnesses.
He saved us and called us with a holy calling, not according to our own accomplishments, but according to his own purpose and the grace that was given to us in the Messiah Jesus before time began.

So then, my brothers, be all the more eager to make your calling and election certain, for if you keep on doing this you will never fail.
