He will be great. He will be called the Son of the Most High. Jehovah God will give him the throne of his father David. (Isaiah 11:1-10) He will reign over the house of Jacob forever. His kingdom will not end.
For unto us a child is born. Unto us a son is given, and the government will be on his shoulders. He will be called Wonderful, Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, and Prince of Peace. Of the increase of his government and peace there will be no end. He will reign on David's throne and over his kingdom. This is what the Lord Jehovah says: 'I raise my hand and swear that the nations that surround you will be insulted. But you, mountains of Israel, will grow branches and bear fruit for my people Israel. My people will come home soon. I am for you. I will turn to you, and you will be plowed and planted. I will increase the number of people who live on you. All the people of Israel, all of them, will live on you. The cities will be inhabited, and the ruins will be rebuilt. I will increase the number of people and animals that live on you. They will grow and become many. I will let people live on you as in the past, and I will make you better off than ever before. Then you will know that I am Jehovah. I will bring people, my people Israel, to you. They will take possession of you, and you will be their inheritance. You will no longer take their children away from them.'
In that day I will raise up the fallen tabernacle of David and close up the breaches. I will raise up its ruins and rebuild it as in the days of old. They may possess the remnant of Edom, and all the nations that are called by my name, said Jehovah.
It will happen in the last days! The mountain of the house of Jehovah will be established above the top of the mountains. It will be exalted above the hills. Peoples will flow to it. Many nations will come. They will say: Come you people, let us go up to the mountain of Jehovah, to the house of the God of Jacob. He will teach us his ways, and we will walk in his paths! For out of Zion will go forth the law, and the word of Jehovah from Jerusalem. He will judge between many peoples, and will decide concerning strong nations far away. They will beat their swords into plowshares, and their spears into pruning hooks! Nation will not lift up sword against nation and they will not learn war any more!read more.
Each man will sit under his vine and under his fig tree. No one will make them afraid! The mouth of Jehovah of Hosts has spoken. All the nations walk every one in the name of their god. We will walk in the name of Jehovah our God forever and ever.
Shout for joy, O daughter of Zion! Shout (and sing) in triumph, O Israel! Rejoice and exult with all your heart, O daughter of Jerusalem! Jehovah has removed his judgments against you. He has turned aside your enemies. The King of Israel, Jehovah, is in your midst! You will fear calamity no more. Jerusalem will be told in that day: Do not be afraid, O Zion! I will gather those who grieve about the appointed feasts. They came from Jerusalem. The reproach of exile is a burden to them. I will deal at that time with all your oppressors. I will give you a name (honor) and praise among all the peoples of the earth! This will happen when I gather back your captive ones before your very eyes, declares Jehovah.
Behold! A Day of Jehovah comes, when the spoil taken from you will be divided among you. I will gather all nations to battle against Jerusalem! The city will be defeated. The houses will be plundered and the women raped! Half of the city will be taken into captivity. The remainder of the people will not be removed from the city. Then Jehovah will go forth and fight against those nations. It will be just as when he fought in the day of battle.read more.
His feet will stand in that day upon the Mount of Olives, which is before Jerusalem on the east. The Mount of Olives will be split in half toward the east and toward the west. There will be a very large valley. Half of the mountain will move toward the north, and half of it toward the south. You will flee by the valley of my mountains. Living waters will go out from Jerusalem: half of them toward the eastern sea, and half of them toward the western sea. It will be both in the summer and in the winter. Jehovah will be King over all the earth. Jehovah will be the only one and his name will be the only one in that day. All the land will be made like the Arabah, from Geba to Rimmon south of Jerusalem. A great tumult (trouble) (disturbance) from Jehovah will fall on them. Everyone of them will lay hold on the hand of his neighbor, and his hand will rise up against the hand of his neighbor (neighbor will fight against neighbor). Judah will also fight at Jerusalem. The wealth of all the nations round about will be gathered together, gold, and silver, and apparel, in great abundance. This will be the plague of the horse, of the mule, of the camel, and of the donkey, and of all the beasts that will be in those camps, as that plague. Every one that is left of all the nations that came against Jerusalem will go up from year to year to worship the King, Jehovah of Hosts, and to keep the Feast of Tabernacles. There will be no rain on those who do not go to Jerusalem to worship the King, Jehovah of Hosts. If the family of Egypt does not go it will not be upon them. There will be the plague and Jehovah will strike the nations that do not go to keep the Feast of Tabernacles. This will be the punishment of Egypt, and the punishment of all the nations that do not keep the Feast of Tabernacles. In that day it will be on the bells of the horses, HOLY UNTO JEHOVAH. And the pots in Jehovah's house will be like the bowls before the altar. Yes, every pot in Jerusalem and in Judah will be holy to Jehovah of Hosts! Every thing they sacrifice will be boiled in them. In that day there will be no more Canaanites in the House of Jehovah of Hosts.
