9 Bible Verses about Divine Displeasure

For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all impiety and unrighteousness of people, who suppress the truth in unrighteousness,

but from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil you shall not eat, for in the day {that you eat} from it {you shall surely die}." Then Yahweh God said, "[it is] not good [that] the man is alone. I will make for him a helper {as his counterpart}."

And it happened, the people were like those who {complain of hardship} {in the hearing} of Yahweh, and Yahweh {became angry}, and the fire of Yahweh burned among them, and it consumed the edge of the camp.

Then he speaks to them in his wrath, and in his fury he terrifies them:

O God, you have rejected us. You have broken us. You have been angry. Restore us!

and truth is missing, and he who turns aside from evil [is] plundered. And Yahweh saw, and it was displeasing in his eyes that there was no justice

"Yahweh {was very angry with your ancestors}.

And {I am extremely angry} with the nations that are at ease, for [while] I was a little angry, they {furthered disaster}."

But [when] Jesus saw [it], he was indignant, and said to them, "Let the young children come to me. Do not forbid them, {for to such belongs} the kingdom of God.
