18 Bible Verses about Examining Yourself

How many are my iniquities and sins? Make me know my disobedience and my sin.

Stand in awe, and don't sin. Search your own heart on your bed, and be still. Selah.

When I kept silence, my bones wasted away through my groaning all day long. For day and night your hand was heavy on me. My strength was sapped in the heat of summer. Selah. I acknowledged my sin to you. I didn't hide my iniquity. I said, I will confess my transgressions to Yahweh, and you forgave the iniquity of my sin. Selah.

I remember my song in the night. I consider in my own heart; my spirit diligently inquires:

I considered my ways, and turned my steps to your statutes.

Let us search and try our ways, and turn again to Yahweh.

For this cause many among you are weak and sickly, and not a few sleep. For if we discerned ourselves, we wouldn't be judged.

seeing that you seek a proof of Christ who speaks in me; who toward you is not weak, but is powerful in you. For he was crucified through weakness, yet he lives through the power of God. But let each man test his own work, and then he will take pride in himself and not in his neighbor.

If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

You hypocrite! First remove the beam out of your own eye, and then you can see clearly to remove the speck out of your brother's eye.
